I didn't get to watch the game because ESPN wanted me to subscribe for a year. That's pathetic. WarHawks had a great season and I wish Linfield would have played you in the Semis. I believe this year we would have won. But who knows you have to play the game. UMHB is a very talented team and they seemed to make the plays when needed. I think they will beat North Central but .... you have to play the game....

To all my Warhawk friends

Let me say first of all - I feel your pain. I know exactly how you feel. I was more shocked at your losing than I was at our loss.

But, given that both teams lost, could we do something about it? I may have a proposal.
Here in Ohio, in Holmes County, which is mostly Amish, there is a cheese factory called Guggisberg. Every year, they win contests for their outstanding Swiss cheese. Maybe you've heard of them. Know that Holmes County abuts Stark County, which is where Alliance is located. Alliance - home of The University of Mount Union, but you already knew that.
The  world knows Wisconsin is known for it's dairy products, particularly cheese. Do the words "cheese head" ring a bell?

So what's my point? Basically, I have no idea. But try this one.
UMU and UWW meet in the "Little Cheese Bowl" also known as "The Not Quite The Stagg Bowl". Hey, we've had some great games in the past. Perhaps you can think of a better name for the game. That's OK. The main idea is to get our two teams, that bowed out of the playoffs too early, together. Location? Who cares. Let's just play.

Mull it over. Just a thought. It's very lonely here! Go Warhawks and Go Raiders!   

As I reread what I just posted, I realize I now have too much time on my hands.

If such a game was ever played, perhaps an appropriate name would be The Purple Bowl.

I had no problem signing up for a month.  But after I'd watched the NCC/Mount game and wanted to go back to watch ours a screen wanting me to convert to a six month plan came up and it took me almost two full possessions to figure out how to get rid of it and advance to the game link.

Sorry it came to an end for both programs MUC.
I would love for the two teams to play again, but we will have to settle for some other competition for now. Maybe we can set up some prop bets on the Stagg for us on the outside. How many jump ball situations does Jordan win? Does coin toss winner defend or take the ball? Does team w the ball as first half ends score? Same for end of game? Etc.

I see Platteville has posted the Head Football coaching position until January 4th.  It will be interesting if both Platteville and Oshkosh promote from within or they bring someone in from outside.

This Stagg Bowl is one of the most intriguing matchups I can remember. I can make a case for each team winning, without saying something like "if they play their best, etc.".

Credit to two excellent teams. I'm going w NCC to win 27-17.

That's interesting... my mom grew up in Berlin, OH near Millersburg. Not sure if I have the spelling right. When we visited her family we'd go on Amish horse and buggy rides with their neighbors. I'm very familiar with the cheese you mention and in fact we have a small wheel of their Baby Swiss in our fridge.... best Swiss cheese ever! Another highlight that I think is in Millersburg is an Amish bakery that sells the cream stuffed donuts.... long and skinny like a hot dog bun size filled with butter cream.... I want one right now! Small world MUC57!

Wow. The CRU were just rediculous. Those receivers were on another level, as they displayed when we saw them. NCC looked like a copy of UWW, but simply wow is all I can say. The best team won, and if you are gonna lose, lose to the champs.
