UMHB @ UWW - Sept. 10, 2022

Yep! Johnnies September 3 (I think that's the date) and the CRU September 10th! Not a bad way to bring in 2022!

While, not as exciting as some of those big matchups, the 2022 UWSP football is out. Non cons vs Mayville St, at St. Norbert, vs Simpson.

So did SJU and the Hawks get moved? Or did MHB replace them?

Pat Coleman

I feel like I've lost track of this during the basketball season, but believe that was moved to Week 1 a while back.

Yes, UW-W's non-con schedule is:

Sept. 3.     At St. John's
Sept.  10   UMHB
Sept.  17   at Berry

The fact that these games are scheduled says volumes about all four programs. Much respect!

There was some swapping around for the Warhawks.  In 2023 we have St. John's here and will go to Texas.  Now we need to find the third team as our two year agreement with Berry is over.

Going through the tea leaves of the schedules listed here are the conference dates (some based on who the home team was last year):

October 1-EC @ Stout, WW @LaCrosse, Platteville @ Oshkosh, SP @ RF
October 8-WW @ EC, LaCrosse @ Stout, Oshkosh @ River Falls, Platteville @ SP
October 14-Oshkosh @ WW (UW-W hosts State Marching Band on the 15th)
October 15-LaCrosse @ EC, RF @ Platteville, Stout @ SP
October 22-EC @ RF, SP @ LaCrosse, Stout @ Oshkosh, WW @ Platteville
October 29-SP @ EC, LaCrosse @ Oshkosh, Platteville @ Stout, RF @ WW
November 5-EC @ Platteville, RF @ LaCrosse, Oshkosh @ SP, WW @ Stout
November 12-Oshkosh @ EC, Platteville @ LaCrosse, Stout @ RF, SP @ WW

Doesn't the back half of the agreements with either Salisbury or Carthage come into play in 2023?

Completely agree with this.  It's great for these programs to take on the best and, IMO, only helps the teams down the road.

Looking at the rest of the schedule, I dont see the Bluegolds or Falcons on the conference schedule. Is the schedule still being released? seems odd to release a partial schedule.

For Bleed, one of the two may be in play for 2023.  The Warhawks have Saint John's at home and I believe are traveling to UMHB as part of the agreement.  I believe both Salisbury and Carthage owe us a home game.  We shall see, we should have four home conference games in 2023, Saint John's makes it a fifth.  In 2024 we probably will be back to three conference games at home so having two non-conference home games would be ideal.

For warhawkguard, the Warhawks are playing at Eau Claire on October 8th and hosting River Falls on October 29th (that will be the Homecoming game).

UWW hasn't released its schedule. This is the combined result of all of UWW's opponents who have released schedules to date.

'95 Blugold

It looks like the Blugolds just have to figure out the dates for Whitewater and River Falls. Thankfully the non-conference schedule got taken care of as we have Loras on the docket again. The return home game with Albion, who we went on the road to play last year and we've replaced Luther with Central on the road, which I assume will be returned with a home game next year.

It's kind of interesting to see them gradually switch from MIAC out of conference games to the ARC. St. Thomas was a yearly staple, and obviously they are no longer an option, but St. John's and Bethel were also sprinkled in there as well through the years.

Oh boy, this puts even more pressure on the Hawks to win their conference now.
