RF may be ranked too high, and the players they lost are very hard to replace. I do know that Coach Walker gives Coach Matheson, O.C., all the credit for the outstanding innovative offense of a year ago. The likely starter at QB will be Kaleb Blaha, a transfer from Winona a year ago. And QB may be the deepest position for the Falcons. Seth Howard, senior transfer from Simpson, is the likely no. 2 QB. Blaha played a number of backfield positions, including QB, a year ago. He will make people forget Hinrichson, good as he was. Coach Walker has great faith in him.

I actually think a bit differently than some. I think RF will be really good. I think they are closer to the top than they've been in a long time. I have a ton of respect for their coaching staff and I believe they have a stronger roster than some suggest. I may be wrong, but I am expecting big things for the Falcons this year.

Second place in the WIAC would be fine.  ;)

Hey all, I'm probably gonna start up another fan poll again this year. As always, shoot me a message if you're in interested in participating. In years past we've always focused on "West" teams. However, with new regional realignment I think we'll just focus on Region 6 teams for the fan poll. Let me know if you want in.

Much appreciated!

Don't know how good St. Olaf is supposed to be, but UWRF just beat them 50-3 in a scrimmage. Got there late so I asked a guy whether that was the final score. He said it was a half time score. St. Olaf called a halt to it so RF, with over a hundred guys along, had to scrimmage themselves.

St. Olaf is nothing to write home about.

I think beating them 50-3 in a half of football is a pretty good clue how good they are or aren't.  I'm leaning towards "aren't."  ;)

I can't comment on their 2022 squad, but they're generally pretty unspectacular.  They beat the MIAC cellar-dwellers and get thumped by the upper half.  They like to beat their chests, though.  ;D

Not a totally unexpected result if RF is as good as expected.

A tradition unrivaled...

Hi Gang -- Sorry for being a bit slow to get back into the swing of things, but the spreads for Week #1 of the 2022 OAC Pickem [and the non-spreads of the 2022 WIAC Pickem] have been posted.  It is a short week because of Thursday games, thus the extra heads up.

Good luck!

I have been lurking for years and probably should come on here and say hi!  As the screen name indicates, I am a fan of Whitewater, and a former member of the Marching Band, helping Warhawk fans strut since 2005 (but I started in 2003).  Here's to another great season in arguably the best conference in Division 3!

Welcome to the boards contra. I'm a big fan of the UWW marching band. In fact, I credit some of the come from behind victories of the past to the enthusiasm of the marching band.

Duffman--Who, exactly, "beats their chests?" I'm almost the only poster for UWRF, so you may be referring to my posts. Which ones? Don't be vague. UWRF, over the past several years, has no reason to crow.
