Going to be at the game with my wife on Friday. First in person game in a decade, her first game ever!

Ohhhhh, THAT Parker Olsen.

You guys are brutal.  He does a nice job writing for the RP. He's been a UW-W football fan pretty much his whole life. Now he is taking advantage of a lifetime opportunity to work for a world renowned website.  Today, Warhawkfootball.com, tomorrow ESPN.  And who knows, once he reaches the pinnacle, maybe even d3football.com after he rocks it at ESPN.

What, do you expect him to say, "No, I'm sorry, I'm not well known"?  No, these are the opportunities people jump on to be successful in life.  And as far as me recruiting him, Matthew Barry bailed out at the last second. So Parker is actually helping us out!

So, thank you Parker! You are doing a great job. We've always taken our shots, but all I can say is the NBC Sports Network is out of business, but warhawkfootball.com rocks on!

Nothing but respect for Parker. I was once in his shoes....Royal Purple Sports Editor.

I remember asking Brez about scheduling Mount Union my senior year. He looked at me and said, "if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best."

Pat Coleman

1. Parker asks good questions in postgame news conferences, and that is better than I can say for a lot of so-called professional journalists.
2. He seems pretty objective, all things considered.

He's doing that job quite well.

I meant no disrespect to Parker--just my sarcastic, snarky self.  :-*

I didn't realize he was a Johnnie.

And Pat mentioned Joe Davis and his previous experiences with him on a recent podcast as well.  I'm guessing Pat has seen his share of students, whether working for college newspapers or in broadcasting who have gone on to have very successful media careers.

"WIAC Predictions"

https://warhawkfootball.com/f/wiac-predictions-1

Love the multiple predictions.
I'm going w UWP, UWL, UWO and the Dub.
I feel UWO may again be the greatest challenge to UWW.

Do you still feel that way after this weekend? I haven't been super impressed by them this year, and honestly, I have little faith in Jennings to coach big games anyway...

Well, my opinion of UWO didn't change, but it sure grew stronger for UWRF. I'm not comfortable with UWO's succeeds vs UWW of late.

I do agree with you about Jennings though.

I'm fascinated to see the chess match play out tonight between Peter Jennings and Jace Rindahl (UW-W's defensive coordinator). While all OCs and DCs on the same team have a certain familiarity with each other, I think it is especially true of coordinators that worked together through the 2020 pandemic.  There were no games.  Practice time wasn't spent preparing for a specific opponent each week.  I'm not saying there weren't some looks at different offenses and defenses, but I think it's fair to say that living through the pandemic non-season of 2020 together would provide an even greater level of familiarity than usual.  These guys know each other pretty well.  It will be fun to see how it plays out.

That's an interesting thought Bleed, I hadn't considered the 2020 non-season.
You may have some insight as to what side of the ball performed better?

Too many false starts. He didn't seem to initiate a slide. 18,951, new record!
