I don't think UMU's defense has what it takes to keep it close, regardless of their playmakers on offense (not that they have any more than UMHB does).

I agree with that.  NCC in a monkey stomp.

Wow BW- are you going w the technical definition of monkey stomp- 21 points?
Not that you're fat or one-eyed, but "that's bold talk for a one-eyed fatman"!!

"Yes, the official MIAC definition, 21 points," said the one-eyed fatman.

Applying the 21 point rule means the last two Staggs have met the definition as NCC won by 27 in 2019, and UMHB won by 33 last year. Three in a row?
So young hero, ask yourself............................Do you want to go to college, get a good education, and play (basketball)(football), or do you want to go to college, get a good education, and watch (basketball)(football)? 🤔 😏

Don't surround yourself with yourself. 🧍🏼‍♂️(Yes)

Here is the link for the Warhawk Head Football Coach position description (hopefully it will work but this is the address):

https://www.uww.edu/employment/academic-staff-non-instructional/posting?listing=2333

It opened earlier this week and will be open until January 8th, 2023.  They do not list the salary range (one frustration with the past/current HR administration) in the PD.  I haven't heard how quickly they will move after the 8th to bring finalists to campus for an interview.  Classes start on Monday, January 23rd.

I wonder if they'd accept 15 years D3 football experience as armchair QB?
I hate rejection.

They left out "Must establish a sustainable offensive threat for an entire season" as a Responsibility.

This is very odd. This is the heart of the recruiting season and WW is OK with not having a HC.
What am I missing?

How do you get commits without a HC??

There is an interim coach (Rindahl) handling the recruiting at the moment.

But yes, I'm sure they'll want to fill it sooner rather than later.

In all fairness, you don't really get "commits" in the same way at the D3 level. It's not like there's a signing window and UWW is missing out right now. It's much more important to run a thorough search and get the right guy, then rush it so you can gain a few weeks in an FBS oriented recruiting window.

I agree, and although my experience is limited and anecdotal, I think a lot of heavy lifting is done by the position coaches.  I just remember reading articles about Quinn Minerz and it was always coach Allen (former offensive line coach I believe) saying "I went to his wrestling meets, I went to his track meets, I went to his football games"  or whatever it was.  So I'm sure those guys are still out there making connections and staying in touch.

This is true. We've had a bunch of guys in the last couple of weeks. The staff is working the recruiting trail hard. The Early D-I signing period is December 21-23, but the more relevant date for UW-W is Feb. 1st which is the actual national signing day. The guys who don't get offered what they had hoped for still have UW-W as an option at that point.  I'm confident we will have quite a few commits sooner than later, but there's a lot of fruit to be had on or shortly after Feb. 1st as well.

As long as you're talking recruiting - UWW's success has been a positive for recruiting in the Chicago/No Illinois area. Will NCC's rise to prominence hurt that a bit?

Retired Old Rat

Doesn't Wisconsin law require the position to be posted for some minimum time period?

Do Wisconsin and Illinois have public school tuition reciprocity? If so, UWW probably holds a clear edge there.

No. Illinois kids pay out of state tuition to go to WIAC schools. Always have. I think some have reciprocity to MN, though.

I think at one time UWP had some sort of reciprocity with IL, but not anymore.

Retired Old Rat

MN and WI have reciprocity. My youngest daughter graduated UW Madison. Great deal.
