I don't know if this is allowed, but my brother in law does a podcast/show called "Inside Wisconsin" and had Lance Leipold on as a guest talking mostly about coaching and his time at UWW. Great listen.

Haven't seen a UW0 that inept in quite some time. For 2/3 of the game they couldn't move the ball or stop us. I think our first punt came in the 4th quarter. Didn't see the fake punt (when winning) or onside kick coming. I'm liking Jace's flair so far...kind of breath of fresh air.

Loved the approach to the game. Play calling was great. Just complete domination.

All around complete game (minus the special team's first half). Well done Hawks!!

Emma--you were right about Pville putting up a good fight. They are good.

The Falcons were good, but not great today.

WORLD'S OLDEST FALCON FAN.

Congratulations to your Falcons- what a great season they're having.

Congratulations to the Hawks for a great win at Oshkosh. Playing without their starting left tackle and left guard, the Hawks piled up 304 total yards in the first half and built up an insurmountable 23-0 lead at halftime. Great all around win outgaining the Titans by over 200 yards on the day. Great start to the WIAC season.

The Hawks were without two offensive starters and two defensive starters in this game due to injury:

LT Addison Deshambo
LG Evan Oberg
DE Lucas Sadler
S Thomas Wojnowski

All four had started each of the first three games. All are hoping to return next week.  Depth continues to be a real strength of this program.

On to La Crosse.

I thought I saw Deshambo on the sideline near the offense after a series. He was wearing his jersey but no pads- and he still looked like a mountain of a man.

This brings another thought to mind. In the old days, you never wanted to leave the field as you always wanted to protect your place. In today's game, with so much focus on competition within the position, these guys are accustomed to rotations. The offense did so well running the ball, I'd fear losing my spot. I don't think it works that way anymore.

Say what you want, but the current version of UWO doesn't resemble anything even close to what Cerroni and his staff built over his time there....  I don't see the current regime being a threat to to win the WIAC anytime soon either....

100% agree. From what I gather Jennings is a great guy, players seem to like him. But I really like where UWW's offense is at now, compared back to when he ran the offense for UWW.

I was a bit worried last year, but it seems Pesik is hitting his stride this year; maybe more freedom? Who knows how the different head coaches philosophies would play into that, but I don't remember Bullis ever fake punting in his years, and that onside would have never happened.

And I agree. Jennings seems well liked by players, but if UW0 is the "couldn't start at UWW" team, it seems fitting that Jennings would coach that team. He would have been passed over by Rindahl for the head job even if he was still at UWW. Maybe he saw the writing on the wall and took the chance to go elsewhere.

As long as UWW continues to be who we think they are, they look to be on a collision course with NCC in December. I for one am looking forward to the possibility of four playoff games at The Perk once more.
