Platteville takes care of Stevens Point 51-10. Michael Priami led the offense with 3 TD passes. Keeping him healthy will be key if Platteville has any success this year. So far Platteville has won the games they are expected to win and they gave River Falls a tough game.  Next week they host LaCrosse I hope LaCrosse has a hang over from their Whitewater win today.

Congratulations- UWP is playing really well. I'll be rooting for them to take down UWL.
I can't imagine any team will finish the conference season undefeated.

Bummer about the rain, if it comes.  At least at 50 degrees it shouldn't be the awful freezing kind. We fell a little short of your hopes for two undefeated teams.  But I'm guessing this will be one of the most intense dog fights ever. UW-RF wants to knock that door down and UW-W is fuming after our loss on Saturday. Saturday will be a war.

Forecast and intensity have improved. Rain now scheduled to end a.m. Hope WW brings good crowd. Our best is short of 3900.

Switch venues?  ;)

Bleed-- Sure! How many points will WW give to switch? And can RF get the home gate receipts? Might be worth the loss to gain the revenue!

Unfortunately, UWW is hosting the State Marching Band Championships this weekend, and from what I understand, the team does everything they can to keep the State weekend an away game or a Friday Night game (considering the forecast, probably not a good idea).  I know THIS Warhawk will be cheering from the Press Box in Whitewater watching the over 20 bands playing their hearts out this Saturday.

The UW Eau Claire marching band played during the signal calling when UW River Falls. Had the ball;  how's that for class?

Technically not even legal, I don't think. I always thought their move to put the band behind the visiting team's bench was bush league. I am hoping Coach Erickson (who is a really good guy) changes that.  But I get his conflict. Hard to take away anything that can be perceived as an edge I suppose.

My son's high school Band won the State Marching Band Championship when he was in school.  As a Platteville alumnus that was the most fun I have had in Warhawk Stadium.

UW Stevens Point was penalized for it during their game with UW EauClaire.  However it wasn't the band but rather the PA system.

If the PA system blared while the Blugolds were calling out signals, I think a penalty is appropriate. But given what occurs on their own home field, I don't love that Eau Claire is the beneficiary of that though.

Nice! Which band was that and how long ago?  I competed with Poynette 1999-2001, and was on the Warhawk Marching Band 2003-2007.  Now I help WSMA with social media posts, and hand out a single trophy with my mother's name on it (she worked for WSMA until cancer took her from us).

Maybe you WIAC insiders can help me. What's the difference between Kaleb Blaha and Kobe Berghammer? Stats are almost identical (actually slight edge to Berghammer) and yds per rush favor Kobe B (Blaha has many more attempts). Seems to me this UWRF offense is very similar to UWO and that didn't work well vs UWW.

The big difference I see is on the defensive side for UWRF. Their Def front is formidable (allowed -5 yds rushing vs MHB and 25 yds rush to UWP). Seems like the game will be won/lost with the UWW ground attack testing this RF rush D. Also, UWP got some big plays in the passing game which isn't a good sign for RF. Finally, RF led 21-3 with 10m left in the 3rd Q and kind of fell asleep at the wheel the rest of the way. Similar story vs MHB (led 35-3 in 2nd Qtr in a 45-22 final). I would expect a championship team to step on the gas down the stretch of these types of games. Caveat: I have only watched about 70% of one game UWRF has played this year.
