Urban Meyer mentions six national championships as he discusses Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks.

Pretty nice win for Homecoming, and also a sweet win for LL in Kansas.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

The Third Division

Who else thought they were looking at stagg bowl contenders when they saw whitewater win today?

I will say the thought crossed my mind that "when we play like this, we are the best team in the WIAC and it isn't even close."  Dominant win today against a team that was within 5 points of UW-RF in the fourth quarter and lost by only 4 to UW-L in a back and forth affair. This the week after a 17 point win over a Stout team that lost to UW-L by only 5.

Great win today, Warhawks! Definitely ramped up the execution. Hopefully, we keep getting better and earn the opportunity to extend our season!

It is doubtful anyone surpassed Kaleb Blaha's performance today:  6 rushing td's, one passing td, 535 total yards accumulated.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

I read that! Amazing performance! I'm guessing he's earned a ticket on the D3 National Team of the Week for that one! As long as UW-RF nominates him.

I just took a look at Kobe for the Berghammer's performance and saw that he had 8 passing touch downs  today.

Yikes!  There are some really, really good QB's in the WIAC this year!

Not that I disagree with the last 2, but Aaron Syverson had 7 TD passes in less than a half, to 4 different receivers. (Yes, it was against less than stellar opponent).

Following the game UWW inducted several former athletes into its Athletic Hall of Fame.  Among them was UW-Platteville's offensive coordinator Brent Allen who played a significant role, both as a player and a coach, in the WARHAWKS rise to national prominence.

"Brent Allen was an offensive lineman for three Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship teams, two national runners-up and a member of the team that claimed the program's first national title during his four-year career with UW-Whitewater football from 2003-07. As a senior in 2007, Allen led the Warhawks to its first-ever national title for football as the Rimington Award winner as the nation's top center in Division III. That season, Allen bolstered a line that helped running back Justin Beaver set the DIII record for rushing yards in a season (2,455). A Second Team All-America selection by D3football.com in 2007, Allen was a First Team All-Region pick in 2007 and two-time First Team All-WIAC selection during his career. The Mukwonago native was selected to the WIAC All-Time Team, which was created in 2012 as part of the league's Centennial Celebration. Also a two-time member of the WIAC's Scholastic Honor Roll, Allen graduated in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in human resource management."

Following his playing career Allen was an assistant football coach and run game coordinator for the WARHAWKS where he coached 4 Conference Championship teams, 3 NCAA DIII Semifinalists, one NCAA DIII National Runnerup, 20 All WIAC selections, 9 All Americans, 1 Rimington Award winner and 2 NFL players.

Congratulations to Coach Allen and a big THANK YOU for all your efforts at UWW

Congratulations to Brent Allen on such a great collegiate career- he was a special player.

Congratulations also to UWW for an outstanding team performance against UWP.

Congratulations to Kansas and Coach LL and staff- wow!

Go UWW.

02 Warhawk

Loving this offense. Huge turn around from the previous regime. Just so many weapons that can hurt the defense, lots of motion, great play calling. Vasey is gonna be something special...only a freshman!!

Love Ogden's athleticism, and he's been very strong on his short to mid range throws. His touch on his Down fields throws are a little shaky, many balls are just out of the WRs reach.

Hopefully we can heal a bit over these next two games, and be healthy for the playoffs. I would think some players will be sitting, even if questionable

Congratulations to  Coach Allen. Not only is he Platteville's Offensive Coordinator last year he came to the rescue of Platteville's Wrestling program as interum assistant coach after Platteville dismissed its coaches because of an NCAA rules violation. Congratulations on WW'S win yesterday one of these years I will enjoy a trip to Perkins Stadium.

I think it's safe to say that whitewater wants River Falls to beat La Crosse. Here's why.

If River Falls beat's La Crosse, 3 teams, including whitewater, will be 6-1.

Because La Crosse scheduled 2 non d3 opponents, the selection committee will only see La Crosse as 6-2 and Whitewater & River Falls as 9-1, therefore, Whitewater & River Falls get the benefit of the doubt.

Since head to head matchups are considered in playoff selections, whitewater becomes the team from the WIAC who gets in by default since they beat River Falls, and river falls becomes the very likely pool C bid.

But if La Crosse wins, whitewater becomes an outright pool C bid, and River Falls plays in the Isthmus bowl for the 3rd straight year.
