Great article, Bleed. All season it's looked like this UWW team doesn't panic.
Last week after the game Coach Rindahl was interviewed. The interviewer asked Coach about the pressure of the playoffs. Coach Rindahl responded "pressure is for tires".

I've no idea what will happen w the Wartburg game, but as a UWW fan, I'm comforted knowing the team has prevailed through so many big games/games in jeopardy/opponents with better statistics in this area and that area.

Thanks Emma!

Might be fair to say Wartburg's defense will be a step up (or two) from Wheaton's. However, no chance their offense will be that of Wheaton's, which is good.

Also being that this game is in Iowa, I think this is a coin flip game as far as who wins.

I think that's fair. Wartburg is going to be about 104 steps up from Wheaton's def (Wheaton ranked #116 post UWW, Warburg ranked #12–UWW offense #16). Wartburg offense is ranked #21 (Wheaton's #10) vs UWW's defense #51 post Wheaton.

I think Wartburg matches up with UWW's strength and visa versa. Two immovable forces. If UWW scores 30 I think they win. I think Wartburg has the advantage in a 17-14 type game. My two cents.

Wartburg looks to have an offense that can adapt and hurt a team via run or pass. McLaughlin put up crazy passing numbers vs Whitworth. I get the feeling the passing game will be similar to Wheaton's in that they have a very accurate QB with multiple good receivers. Perhaps the Wheaton game will prove helpful to UWW defenders.

It looks like Whitworth gave up on the run pretty early, assuming the large second quarter Wartburg lead had much to do with that. When I watched Whitworth play Linfield, I was very impressed with the Whitworth QB and running back. The fact Wartburg shut them down suggests Wartburg's impressive national defensive rankings aren't only due to some weaker conference opponents.

Another nail-biter I imagine.

Good luck to UWW fellas as I think this is going to be a great game. I love this time of year. Seeing the top programs in the country (like UWW) face off against each other is awesome and something I really cherish. Hoping for a great game with no injuries.

Thanks Ice.
Although I'm thrilled UWW is still playing, I also love this time of year and am glued to the monitors no matter who is playing.

Congrats to Andy!   I know LL has some good UW-W depth in offensive coaches. Jim Zebrowski up next!  He's another great one! I just wanted to beat you to it, BW, so you didn't add an "m" to his name.  ;)

Wow- what great recognition for what he's done over the years. I'm sure no one is happier for Andy than LL. LL has mentioned several times in press conferences he thinks Andy would make a great head coach. Andy has openly stated he would like to be a head coach someday. I imagine this new role puts Andy in a better position to achieve that goal.

I really, really liked Jim Z when he was here.   His role in the development of Jeff Donovan was simply incredible.    In my fantasy he would stay long enough to be our head coach when Lance moved on.  So I was really disappointed to see him move on beforehand.

Agreed. If Jim Z gets the OC job at Kansas, I think they will continue on their impressive rise.

Turnovers and mistakes were the difference maker.

Good year.

A lot coming back to be hopeful about. maybe we can get someone who can kick FGs next year.

Defense just couldn't get a stop in the end. Wow.

Idk what was worse about this game. Whitewater losing, or the wartburg camerapeople literally not doing their jobs half the time.
