Looks like Bachar was optioned back to AAA yesterday after the Padres needed to call a starter up for their game against the Cardinals.

Sure would've liked to see him make his debut on Sunday, but hopefully he'll get another shot before the season is over!

I was in attendance when Loras hosted UWSP in Dubuque last Saturday. The Pointers were running most of their plays out of the typical spread look that you see in college football these days but, also ran quite a bit of plays in a double-wing look. I was quite surprised to see a WIAC team running plays that are from an offense from the 1960s/small town high school's playbook. Is this something they have done in the past? I know they have not had much success recently in the WIAC and may just be willing to give anything a try at this point...

My hunch is that he will be recalled after September 1st when MLB rosters are allowed to expand.  This could be complicated somewhat by the fact the Padres remain in the thick of the race for the West Division and playoffs.  If the race remained super tight that could reduce the opportunities for the additional players. As an added player he would be ineligible to participate in any post season games.

Treading on dangerous ground there USee, Emma's uncle used to say, "Sarcasm doesn't look too good even on the most handsome of men."

USee- I appreciate your humor, and you too Bleed.

Like my uncle's brother frequently said- If you're going to be a one-trick pony, don't play around behind the line of scrimmage.

So Tragic. He was a really special human being. Hard times at UW-W, also suffering the loss of National Champion gymnast Kara Welsh, who was murdered. I didn't know Kara, but everything I'm hearing is she was a true light and a leader. Simply horrific. Praying for all who love Chris and Kara and the UW-W family.

Mitch Hall

Sincere sympathy to the UWW community on the loss of Chris and Kara. Terrible news.
