Quite frankly, this team is not any better than anybody, talent wise. CENITI should be benched. These guys need to figure it out. I'm really not impressed this year.

Then lacrosse loses to uw zero, RF gets thumped. What is happening?? Total pandemonium,  dogs and cats living together.
Proud to have worn the Purple 1991-1994
6 Time National Champions

WIACer

Lax down, UWW down, UWRF down. Just a mess. Will be interesting who finishes 2nd. Coaches gonna have to be their best. Who will it be?

Starting to think WIAC will be a one bid league after seeing today's scores...
2008-09 and 2012-13 WIAC Fantasy League Champion

Quote from: cubs on October 08, 2024, 04:00:19 PMI think it's safe to say the La Crosse vs UWO game is a de facto Pool C elimination game this weekend.  The loser will be at three losses at the end of the day which likely ends any Pool C chances regardless if one of the losses was against a D2 team.

Now this is where I'd jump on board w bofadeeznuts if he were to say UWL will easily handle UWO.
If UWL doesn't take UWO to the woodshed (say 17 point min victory), they aren't who I thought they were.

They aren't who you thought they were. Second half comeback epic by the Titans.

You're right about that. I thought I was pretty clairvoyant at half w UWL up 30-14. UWL played about as bad as a team can play in the second half. I have to give UWO and the ex UWW OC credit- they played a tremendous second half. That drive for the second to last touchdown was epic- they converted a 3rd and 30.
No idea what to think about these teams.

Quote from: 02 Warhawk on October 12, 2024, 06:08:11 PMBecoming less and less shocked on these losses. The revenge tour on UWW continues.

UWP in the driver's seat to win conference. With any luck UWW will win out......not betting on it though. Need to lower expectations on Jace and gang. Would love to give Chryst a shot. Not sure Ceniti is him.

Curious if just 1 WIAC team will get in. We're just beating up on each other.

Agreed- less and less shocked. Did you see what happened to UMHB?

Crazy thing about UWW's loss today, it's almost meaningless in the conference race. If UWW wins out, it's highly unlikely UWS escapes w only one conference loss.

RF began to lose offensive effectiveness when Blaha signaled he wanted to be taken out after a 16 yard gain in second q. Fitzgerald, very good in earlier games, not so today. Third string qb, Wesolowski, starter at wideout, came in before half and provided the only offensive spark shown first half. He played rest of game. Falcons had 27 first downs or more, but could not score.Penalties stymied them often.

Wesolowski led in several offensive categories and was the standout offensive player for the Falcons.
Don't know extent of Blaha's injury or what kind of injury. He was limping slightly when hw came off field.

Several other unsportsmanlike penalties on Falcon players. Frustration? Probably, but not excusable. Falcon season not irretrievable but difficult after today. Pville will not escape a loss.Their run game is questionable, but Falcon D vs. run has been strong all season. Oshkosh looking stronger. League parity obvious.
WORLD'S OLDEST FALCON FAN.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

Just got home from Platteville's Homecoming win over RF. I wondered why Blaha wasn't playing I think it would have been a different with him playing. RF and Platteville were evenly matched if you look at the stats. I think the difference was Platteville's defense was bend not break and RF punting game put Platteville in great field position which led to 2 scores. Going into WIAC play Platteville faced LaX, RF, Oshkosh and WW I was hoping they could eik out two wins mission accomplished. Platteville travels to Oshkosh next week you don't get a week off in the WIAC.

As great as Blaha is, it seems the problem is he's always at risk of getting banged up since he runs so much. It's too bad as he's a stud player.

Quick question from your friends in the ARC Media...what is the correct pronunciation

(we-ack) or (y-ack)

having gone back to watch all the crazy games in the WIAC these last 2 weeks, there doesn't seem to be a consensus among the TV presenters.

It's WHY-ACK.

WEE-ACK is the Wisconsin Teachers Union. (WEAC)

Pat Coleman

Agreed that there is no consensus but BDB is right -- call them the WHY-ack.

Or you can just call them the W-I-A-C. That's also perfectly good.

Wild season continues. Am I accurate that rumor of the new playoff system is win % is weighted heavier than the "new" SOS metric? So a salty WIAC (or MIAC or CCIW) team with two losses could still very well be staying home instead of 1 loss teams with weak SOS resumes?

Or we could just go back to the old days and call them the WSUC (Wisconsin State University conference) I wouldn't mind that.

As an outsider looking in what's going on? I'm too lazy to look at all the rosters but just wondering if there have been a bunch of transfers making so many WIAC teams competitive? Are top talent recruits deciding they want to play right away so they're going to the upstart programs? Has there been coaching turnover causing the chaos?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!
