I have to agree ScoutTeamHero.  Maybe not a battle for last place but may have an influence later this season.

I will go out on a limb and say:  if RF palys the way they have been, and make the necessary adjustments they will be a top 3 team in the conference.

Picks for the week:
WW
RF
LX
Stout

BDB

Here you go padmofu:

BDB picks these winners:

Stout
River Falls
Whitewater
Stevens Point

Thanks again padmofu.

I cannot believe how many people are picking UWSP to beat UWL.

UWL has had an entire month practicing for a UWSP team that has not played that good thus far.
LaCrosse wins by 10

UWW comes out and shows how good they really are.  They continue to clobber UWEC.  I am not seeing this one as close as the experts think.
UWW by 17

Best game is RF vs. OshVegas.  I am hearing the hype on RF and I will buy it for this week.
RF by 6

Where is WALDOrf?  Stout may break a school record for scoring on this one.
Stout by 50

running,

I thought about that layoff that LAX has had. It can be a negative as well as a positive. I decided to pick Point against the home team with the possibility of a little rust and and a couple of turnovers by LAX. I guess we'll wait and see.

I agree with your comments on the WW-EC game.

Is Docherty injured?  I noticed he's listed as the first tight end but doesn't show up in any of the statistical categories, like pass receiving.   He had his best game against River Falls in 2003.

I like....

River Falls despite the new logos the Titan sport.

Stout...Waldo is my thing runningdevil, find your own.   ;) ;D

LaCrosse...I don't think Point has the defense this year though I think it's going to be a close one.

Pat, I imagine you guys are big shots enough to get into our press box.  But you better have your credentials in order or I won't be able to admit you.  Say hi, I'll  be the gray haired guy.

UWL may be rusty, but their talent IS better than that of UWSP.  I mean look how they did against a bad team like WALDOfr (No, this is mine.)  They allowed 2 tds and only won by 4 tds?  I thought they under performed last year against this WALDOrf team, too.
Anywho, I really want to know if OshVegas can continue to be undefeated or if RF plays to the hype.

Just look at professional sports-Yankees, Lakers, Cowboys
They all were successful and fans beagn to hate them.

How do you account for the Bulls' success, then...?  EVERYBODY loved them!

The Bulls had Michael Jordan - who didn't enjoy watching him dominate.

Why do most dislike La Crosse --- their usually good, they know their good, and the whole program has a winning attitude about it.  They expect to win every year instead of hoping to win.  I was a student athletic trainer in the early 90's when La Crosse had their most dominant teams (92 / 95 NC) and they had an "air" about them and that carries on from year to year.

In contrast, I spent three years at Eau Claire (02 - 04) where we had good teams, but the attitude was we think we're good, we hope to win the big games instead of expecting to win.  Hoff has got a good thing going at EC and that attitude is changing from hoping to expecting.

Just look at the machine that Joe LaBuda has developed at Menomonie HS.  State championship potential every year, they expect to win it every year.  His record over 15 years is something ridiculous like 175 - 28 (Stoutguy may be able to give the accurate numbers).  It's an attitude.  Most people dislike MHS football because of their success.  As an MHS alum, I enjoy seeing them dominate every year.

pointspecial, stout is actually playing waldorf this week, but I'll mark it as a stout pick for you anyway.

Oh, wait, Stout plays Waldorf and not Plattevillie??? WOW, that totally changes EVERYTHING, (just kidding) it's still Stout. Although, I really don't know who I'd pick if Plattevillie had to play Waldorf.
