Mr. Downtown

Ok...

59 carries, 366 yards 3TD's
3 catches, 64 yards

62 touches 430 total yards 3TD's

If Mo doesn't get player of the week, I will call out for conspiracy!!!

About Oshkosh's chances, I say they are slim. Too many high ranked teams are losing right now, and in order for Oshkosh to go we really needed them to keep on winning their conference bids and to have us sneak in. Oh well, I will take a 7 or 8 win season anytime.

Was anyone in attendance for the Whitewater vs Stout game?  Sounds like it was a pretty close first half and then Whitewater dominated the second half.  What was the attendance like at that game?

I also notice that Rob Weinstein had a heck of a game for Stout's defense (23 total tackles).  I asked this previously, but how is he even eligble to play?  I have heard from friends that he has taken advantage of Stout's lenient academic standards for athletes, something like failing out of school three times.  I have also heard about him being arrested numerous times for various violent crimes.  When does a team just give up on a guy?

Awesome win for the Titans today, despite another home game with crappy weather. Hail Titans. Today two of us went 4-0. Those two being PointSpecial and notfredfalcon. For the second week in a row, Brian Carroll and MrDowntown lead us in the pick'em contest. Here's how we did...
4-0: PointSpecial (13-11), notfredfalcon (14-10)
3-1: 1_for_27 (15-9), Badgerwarhawk (16-8), oldpa (17-7), UDubFever (17-7), Fredfalcon (15-9), blugold26 (17-7), voice (17-7), BrianCarroll (20-4), bulk19 (18-6), MrDowntown (20-4)
2-2: runningdevils (14-10), padmofu (16-8), blugold45 (14-10), 2cents (17-7), stoutguy (14-10), falconforlife (15-9)
1-3: BlueDevilBob (14-10)

Freeman-Yes, I was at the Stout game and regarding your questions, I have one for you: Are you a former player with an ax to grind, or are you just stupid?

Freeman

Stoutguy, I didn't go to Stout, but I know plenty of people that have/still do.  It was just a question.  Is there something to the rumors if you got so defensive?

Kilted Rat

Freeman,

I would certainly hope they're more than just rumors if you're gonna come on here flinging them around as if they were gospel truth!

I would like to think that people on here would be above spreading malicious rumors just to piss off someone else or to make it seem like their team got cheated... but I've been wrong before.

My goal isn't to come on here to "spread rumors" or to "piss people off."  I am just asking why Stout is lacking academic and personal behavior standards for their athletes, especially their football players.  I know that Stout's women's basketball team is usually always in the running for the highest cumulative GPA in the WIAC.  I also know that Mr. Weinstein isn't the only Stout football player that has been allowed to "set their own rules" and still be eligible to play football.  The had a standout D-lineman a couple of years ago that was allowed to "walk on water."  Why even have rules if they are not going to be enforced?

Freeman

Here's an interesting question for all of you...Who is the best WIAC football player to come out in the past ten years?  Any ideas.

Plattfan

the best in 10 years?  Tom Stetzer from UWP!!!

31-3 SP over Platteville.  But hey we got to see the return of Brent Nelson.  And who would have thought Damian Droessler the HB started as Linebacker and lead the team with 11 tackles.  Now you guys gotta admit that is pretty cool.   They should have put him on D before this.  As for the RUN D Average Per Rush was 2.9 yards a carry.  Thats good for Platteville.
Last game at the Ralph for
Bret Manke,Nate Hill,Justin Wild,Kent Brown,Mike Bach, Joe Danielson, Brandon Ehret, Anthony Franklin,Damian Droessler,Jason Borchart,Dan Lilla,Justin McMurtry and Marcus Ninneman.  All stand out guys from a great football program

The Osh-EC wasn't as close as you may think..EC managed a slim 89 yards rushing on the stingy Osh defense.  Mo ran all over EC.  If it hadn't been for a couple of really bad calls, (pass interference) the game would never went into OT.  Would have been a shame if Osh would have lost .  (these zebra's will be doing a 5th grade Pop Warner game next week)

Anyway going for 8 wins next week.  Wonder is "notfalconfred" will show up the "experts" that didn't give Osh a tinkers-chance-in-hell again next week?

Do you have any proof of what you're alledging?

I'm not a Stout fan, or even a WIAC fan, I just think its pretty spineless to come on here throwing around accusations without giving any proof or examples.

Then perhaps you had better substantiate the allegations, because that's what you're doing right now.

Scott Krause may or may not be the best player out of the WIAC in the past decade, I haven't taken the time to think it through.  But one thing is certain and that is that he was a better player than Tom Stetzer.  Not that Stetzer wasn't a good player, he was.  Krause was simply better.   Krause played in the CFL last year and could have this year had he not chosen to hang it up.  The cornerback from Stout, Beckham, was also a better player than Stetzer.  He's on an NFL roster.  That's two players I can think of right off the top of my head.

Where's Stetzer played since leaving the WIAC?

Platteville, a "great" football program.   Perhaps if they played in MWC or LMC.  But in the WIAC, well, you have to be kidding me.

Great to see the WARHAWKS battle back after Stouts punched them in the mouth for a 10 to 0 first quarter lead. Stout was ready to play and capitalized on the WARHAWKS late arrival.  Hats off to the Hawks for overcoming that adversity, as great teams do, and winning the next three quarters. :)

HAIL WIAC 2005 CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS.

ps: I'll take 2/2 in the Pick-um every week as long as Whitewater has a win. ;D

Congratulation, Whitewater Seniors, Players, Coaches and Fans.

What I meant by great football program was the character of the players on that team.  And what they get out of football after leaving the program.  And who are the MWC or LMC and what teams play in them?  And Stetzer was on the top 10 all time list for passing yards even though he missed some games due to injury.
