When the Cobbs beat the Cats & the J's beat the Hawks, the the West finals are in Collegeville. I can see the game before going to the airport & jetting to Whistler. Then the National Semis will also be in Collegeville on the 10th. I fly back to MSP on the night of the 9th,so I can make that game too ;D

I miss oldpa, he is a football man. No nonsense straight ahead X's and O's, not like us damn MIACer who know life is about balance, Personal Development 101 ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Football Fan413,

I know that the stripes called more penalties on WW.  I'm sorry it came off as whining.  I didn't mean it to.  The point I was trying to make was that with the difference of the calls the game may have turned out differently.  Not that we would have won.  That it may have been closer.  You dominated us, but with the difference of a few plays or calls it could have been closer on the scoreboard.  If that makes sense to you.  Your team was clearly the better team Sat.  We will just have to work hard in the off season and come back at you next year.  Good luck with SJU.  Should be a great game.
Didn't mean to make it sound like I thought you were whining.  I meant it when I said it was a classy post.  I aplogize if I nitpicked!!  I understand what you are saying and you could be right.  Just pointing out that if those calls had gone another way, there were others that could have also gone the other way for UWW.  Atleast the calls didn't effect the outcome.  That is always a tragedy when the stripes are the deciding factor.   Thought your team and your fans were great.  Good luck to the program!

Veek,

One of the top spots to get lubed up in Whitewater is a place called Frawley's Westsider.  Great place, starts hoppin' around 10 PM.

Whitewater Fans,

SJU played UW-Whitewater back in 2002 and won the game 42-18.  :'(

How does the 2005 team compare to the 2002 team? I know that the Wisconsin conference is usually fairly well balance, yet Whitewater made it through undefeated this year.

This looks to be the best matchup of the season. The only better game might be the West Region Final. It sure would be great if the Johnnies got a rematch with the Cobbers in an all MIAC West Region Final.

Duffman, you made the d3football photo gallery....

Finding a place to enjoy a few cocktails all depends on the crowd you are looking for.  Inside ww you could go to the downstairs, pub, or pumpers & Mitchell's.  I am not to sure about outside the town you would have to ask the old-timer voice lol.  Us WW fans have been keeping it pretty low key because we are pretty modest when we are handing out a stomping.  I don't know what kind of team you think you ladies are going against but Central is still icing from sat game.  We play a different brand of ball down here in southern WI.  Our speed comes with a little more bit when it hits you.  I was fortunate enough to face your Johnnies back in 00, and I would have to say we put quit a players on the sidelines.  Your boys did beat us but our team was sub-par.  We were just there to hit some people.  I am excited for this sat to get here, make sure you bring your panty warmers it will be a cold one. ;)

SJU comes from a colder place that WW. Even colder??? CC. Anyway, I want SJU to smoke you guys so SJU and CC can meet for a MIAC West bracket.

SJU, up for a kegger before the West final?

Thanks Voice and 3's for the hot spots!!

3's -  If you think WW will score 37 on the J's you must be smoking some sweet stuff because it simply won't happen.

Both teams common opponent this year was UWEC.  With the exception of 3 blocked punts in the 2nd half which led to scores for UWEC SJU completely dominated both lines of scrimmage the entire game.  I know that WW handled UWEC in similar fashion but yours was a home game while SJU's was on the road.

We all know that common opponents really mean little to nothing.  Both teams appear to be equally skilled.  What is the deciding factor?  Coaching, plain and simple.  There isn't another team in DIII football that enters a game better prepared nor one that will make better halftime adjustments than SJU.  Having the winningest football coach in college history along with a superb assistant coaching staff will spell VICTORY for the J's come Saturday.
Go Johnnies!!!

Veek,
I am sorry however I must disagree with you on the coaching staff thing. As Whitewater has by far the hardest working coaching staff i the state of Wisconsin. This includes the Badgers,as well as the Packers.
Coach Brez,Borland,Z and the rest of the coaches work their tales off 24/7 to get the hawks prepared for each and every game, and it is obviously showing this year,as they totally and completely dominated the toughtest conference in d3 football(according to this website)Hard to deny facts though look at the scorsw of our conferene and there is not one dominate team who blows people out each and every week.Excet for the Hawks this year.
As far as the 2002 game. I remmeber it mainly for the horrible job of officiating. Boy did those SJU alum officials STINK but also for the fact that the defense knocked your QB out of the game. This team I believe is much faster on defense, and may probably hits much harder then the 02 team. So it will be a long day for the Johnnies on satuday, and even a longer us ride home.

DuffMan

I don't know why you guys bring up that '02 game so much.  I played in that game, too.  You hit hard, and yes, you let us know how hard you hit and how you pounded the snot out of us.  You know what, though, we won that game 42-18.  I don't really care how hard you hit if you can't score more points than us.  You can talk about how hard you hit the Johnnies all you want as your boys are turning in their pads and helmets on the 28th.  This year's Johnnies are also better than '02.  We'll just see what happens.

Duffman,

As far as the 2002 game between SJU and WW is concerned.  What the hell does that game have to do with this year's game?  With all do respect to the '02 Warhawks, they were a 5-5 team.  I know the SJU team has plenty of respect for WW after talking with SJU's head coach yesterday.  After reading the banter all week long, I wonder how many SJU fans have any respect what-so-ever for the Warhawks?
