Voice, I have a lot of respect for Whitewater, and I know that the other posters from SJU do, too.  Warhawkalum and Three3s brought up the 2002 game, so I thought I should respond to that.  It doesn't mean squat this year.  UWW is 11-0 and SJU is 11-0, and truthfully, that doesn't even matter.  The only thing that will matter is what each team will bring to the field on Saturday.

My point, in response to the aforementioned Warhawk posters, is that it doesn't matter how hard you hit.  Just the score matters.

Duffman,

As far as the 2002 game between SJU and WW is concerned.  What the hell does that game have to do with this year's game?  With all do respect to the '02 Warhawks, they were a 5-5 team.  I know the SJU team has plenty of respect for WW after talking with SJU's head coach yesterday.  After reading the banter all week long, I wonder how many SJU fans have any respect what-so-ever for the Warhawks?

Voice,

Duffman is responding to the post by three3s about the earlier game.

Trust me, we have plenty of respect for the Warhawks.  Expect a very tough fought game.

BTW, Gag fears and respects Little Sisters of the Poor as an opponent.  If you went by what he says before the games he'd be 1-500, and he'd tell you the 1 win was  all luck.

That is ok, Voice.  After my posting doing a statistically analysis of this years teams, alot of the SJU posters recognized the facts and backed off on the, "we are going to pound you crap,"  They recognize that this will be a battle between two equally great teams and that they need to respect the Hawks as we need to respect the Johnnies.

I think it's safe to say that neither team will be facing a "Monmouth" this week ;)

However, it has been my experience that many times there is a direct connection between hard hitting and scores most of the time.  Would you agree?  Opportunities to score become more prevelant as the game goes on when players are knocking the snotty  out of their opponent.  Just an observation to throw out there.  You are right, the score at the buzzer is all that matter!!

Just a simple question. What's better - Working hard or working smart?

To a certain extent, perhaps.  But there is more to football than just hitting.  You have to know how and when to hit.  Stupid and unnecessary hits don't help a team win.  You have to be in control at all times and play intelligently.

Hitting Hard is great and all but as I am sure the Duffman will attest to the team that wins is the team that controls the LOS.  That being said the big match up on Sat. will be the WW O-line against the sackmasters from SJU

Hey, does anyone know how this "karma" thing works?  For weeks I have been posting respectful, no-trash talking, postings (after going off the deep end a few weeks ago, lol,) and I can't get out of the negative!!  After apologizing, I turned the entire board around to a respectful tone at the time.  Then I read trash talking postings and they have positive karma.  What gives?   Just wandering how it works. I hate negative karma!!!!! :)

I agree totally, kubiak 78, Luckily for WW, the O-line has blocked for the leading rusher in the country, (doesn't do that on his own,) and was recognized by D-3.com on their "Team of the Week, "one week.  Also, WW has some sackmasters of their own.  Two of the linebackers have 10 between them, both All-Conference First Team.  I'm sure SJU has some equally great statistics.  Read about the sacks on Momouth.  Did they have an O-line at all?  Again, just proves what a great game we should see.

And Thanks, Duffman, and right back at you!!! :-* :-* :-*

O.K. then, enough about football stats and who is going to control the line of scrimmage. No wonder you only have 99 pages here and it's November 21!

Do you like Hamm's or Pabst?

Do you like Ginger or Mary Ann?

Do you like blaze orange or camo?

Do you like brats or Polish sausage?

You guys will never get any karma abilities until you get 200 posts!

Come on, have a little fun!!

We all miss you oldpa ;)

Pabst gets the slight edge but Hamms will do just fine in a pinch

Mary Ann...Mid west girl,  nuf said
