Kilted Rat

Kubiak,

Just had Johnsonville Chedarwurst brats over the weekend, outstanding as usual!

I had a brat that wasn't a Johnsonville once... never again!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

The key battle, in my opinion, this weekend is how SJU handles the blitz packages of WW.  Having read a little, it seems as though the LB's are pretty darn good.

That being said, Kofed is smart, and good enough, to make hot reads and get rid of the ball.

I don't think WW has seen a 1-2-3 punch at running back like the johnnies have in Lofboom, Weber, and The "Pierz Flash".  They can all run in, out, and each has great hands to catch the ball out of the backfield.  We need them to have a good game to keep the LB's out of the pass rush.

I worry a little about WW's counter game/sprint package.  Our edge players need to come up big again this week (Mac's on a run).

My overall matchups:

QB - Even
RB - Beaver is a stud, but SJU equalizes with the 3 man attack
WR - Johnnies
OL - WW, Mathiason is a loss for us
TE - Even

D- Line  -SJU
LB - WW
DB - SJU

Any thoughts?

I think I'm going to have to go to this game.  I'll drop my wife off in Milwaukee at my daughters and let her go shopping while I contunue down to Whitewater and take in what looks like will be a great game between two teams that are confident they can win.

I like what I see as some differences. Whitewaters offensive lines size comes to mind going up against the smaller SJU  defense.  That's not necessarily a bad thing for SJU, they don't seem to always have the biggest or best athlete, but they almost always have the best coachable athlete. Something you need when the second season comes around.  The expereince in coaching in the playoffs by far has to go to Gags.  Not taking anything away from Brez but he is going to have to show he can better prepare his team and I hope he does.  It 's the WIAC's turn to prove it is one of if not the best and the only place to show that is now in the playoffs.
I may not have much to say, but I'll say it anyway.

are you serious
QB-SJ QB is good but Jacobs is great
RB- Leave it to Beaver
WR- WOW i cant believe you think you have the edge here. Your #1 would be the #3 at WW
OL- WW sorry jonnies to small

DL- SJ
LB- SJ will need all three of those RB's, WW LBs are the deal
Corners- SJ
Safeties- WW

Overall O- WW
Overall D- Equal
If you wanna be good practice till you get it right, if you wanna be great practice till you cant get it wrong..

Wahawkexpress, you've seen SJU play how many times this year?

I know Beaver is good because he won't be able to get by on his rugged good looks or his ablility to dress himself :o

25/12 is good, not great----I'll stick by my =

WR---you illude to this.. UWW has good receivers, as does SJU (I think gearman would be higher than your #3)..HOWEVER, this is a strength v. strength match-up for us......Our DB's a nails.  Your DB's seem to be the "weak" (for lack of a better word) link on your D.  That is the basis for my edge to SJU in this category!

OL- Im giving you this on running stats, not size.  We all know, that the "we are bigger, and big pushes small" argument is as poor as "My dad can beat your dad up!".  It does seem, though, that WIAC teams have a tough time with small, fast aggressive D-linemen.  THAT will be a fun match-up to watch

I'll go with your strength at S being with WW, as SJU's are young, but have been improving GREATLY in recent weeks.  Easy for them is the fact the UWW DOES NOT pass to their RB's.  They will be able to key the run, and give 7-8 people.

Ive seen WW about 3 times and Ive seen the jonnies just as many.  I saw the gustavus adolfus(however its spelled) and yes they won but the jonnies didnt play very well, and if it were for some easy dropped picks the game might have been different, they got after Eau Claire, but i thought the WW game was more convincin against the same opponent

I'll give that the Gustavus game was a poor game.  We got after Eau Claire, and that was a first game.  The difference in first-last game with SJU teams is huge.  See the SJU 2001 and 2002 seasons for a reference.

Did you say 32" neck, or 32 IQ?  :P

either way it doesn't matter you dont have to be smart to run the ball...  the smart guys are in the trenches ;D

Is that why Beaver was a Academic All-Region, they must have low standards if he only has a 32 IQ
