QuoteDid you say 32" neck, or 32 IQ?

Is that why Beaver was a Academic All-Region, they must have low standards if he only has a 32 IQ

Justin Beaver is a Physical Education major with a 3.62 GPA

Yeah, those bowling, weight lifting, shuffleboard, and square dancing classes must lead to a pretty busy course load!!   ;D

Ritz,
That was good.  How on earth do you not get a 3.5+ GPA as a PE major at a state school.  Just shows how those academic all-conference teams are an absolute joke sometimes with grade inflation and PE majors at some schools.  Nothing against Beaver himself as I do not know him, but more a commentary on the school/major.

I'm sure he's a good enough kid, but I just love reading some of the majors..  When we played LaCrosse in 93, I think 1/2 - 3/4 of the team were 5th year Red Shirt Seniors who still needed another year to graduate with their Phys. Ed. Majors.  I'll have to go back and look at the program!!!

Ritz,

In all fairness, our National Scholar Athlete Matt Hawn (one of 3 in D III) only has a 4.0 taking Pre-dental Biology classes.

If Duffman and I can make it through classes like Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry, they must be easy, right?

BTW, Dumo is a Biochemistry and Math double major, upper level Calculus classes are easy too, right?

Maybe we should bill the Dumo V Beaver match-up as future Doctor vs. future Gym Teacher!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

QuoteKubiak,
Here's the comparison between what you and TC put up.

Pts allowed       Rush yrds          Pass yrds        Total yards
SJU      13                         81                   136                   217

UWW  13.5                     61.6                218.8                 280.5

So SJU's defense is still better in big games.

Still waiting on Pat's response...... cue crickets.

ok back to my original statement about the overall D bein equal, 13.5 and 13 pts given up in "big games" seems pretty equal to me.

I'm not going to go back and comb through the box scores, but if we limit this to points allowed only by the defense (i.e., no special teams, turnovers, etc.), I'd assume SJU wins by even more.  In the end, it doesn't matter--both teams have good defenses.

But our defense has allowed almost 25% fewer yards in the mentioned games...   :P

I'll take SJU minus the points and the under.

Final score: SJU 24 UWW 17

Hmmm.... thats funny,  this came from pcole:

In fact, this reminds me of another off the record conversation that I shouldn't be having on the board (and if anyone from the NCAA asks, we totally are not) ...

Saturday night's opening second-round lines ... to determine favorites and to entertain each other, NOT TO BET ON. Just so we're 100% clear.

Consulted on with at least one other person who has seen a lot of games this season, done completely from memory and unofficial as unofficial can be.

Feel free to disagree.

Hobart at DelVal: Aggies by 2.5
Rowan at Union: Dutchmen by 4.5 (although Profs by 3 was discussed)
Bridgewater at Thiel: Tomcats by 1.5
Wesley at UMHB: Crusaders by 13.5
Capital at Wabash: Little Giants by 1.5
Augustana at Mount Union: Purple Raiders by 9.5
Concordia-Moorhead at Linfield: Wildcats by 16.5
St. John's at UW-Whitewater: Warhawks by 2.5

Something to that effect. And you definitely did not hear this from me.
