That's because they no longer have Frosty.

Pat, you seem very "WIACish" lately.  Or maybe you just like to be the devil's advocate?

Or maybe it your MIAC-biased perspective perceiving something that isn't there.

RF doesn't even have a passing game! They had at least one game this year where they didn't even complete a pass!

Ask Pacific Lutheran how defending the one-dimensional UWRF offense worked out for them.

Let's follow the logic.....

A lower tier team from the WIAC can beat a lower tier team from the NWC.  Thus, according to "falcon" means-----

UW River Falls would finish 3rd, or maybe 4th in the NWC[/b]

WOW, that is just wonderful!!!!

Kiltedrat,

Well, since you said it all about opinions and assholes, then I agree with Fred Falcon and still say that Platteville and River Falls would beat Bethel and some of your lower teams in the MIAC.  But that's just what I think so don't get all bent out of shape.  If you really felt the way you posted, then you wouldn't really care either.

Man I really hope that WW kicks some butt so that the WIAC can finally put some things to rest concerning the MIAC.  Go get em' Warhawks!

How does a match-up between two conference champs put anything MIAC/WIAC to rest.  Most anyone will admit that the WIAC is stronger top-to-bottom.  It doesn't really matter what teams #2 through last place could do in whatever conference, does it?  Put it on the field, if you win, all that says is UWW was better than SJU on the 26th.  If SJU wins, it means SJU was better on the 26th.  I could care less what Bethel, Platteville, River Falls, St. Olaf and the rest of the conferences are doing right now.

Yes, I am grupy today!

Putting some tings to rest like the bad WIAC playoff reputation of late.  Not being able to get past the second round; and just having a WIAC team beat a St. John's team in the postseason.  Yes, I know there will be never ending debates on the great histories and traditions of schools like St. John's, but maybe, just maybe if UWW wins, then we can say that the WIAC and their best team (UWW) was better all around than the MIAC and their best team (St. John's).

DuffMan

Realist, I wasn't referring to you in that post.  I'll agree with your latest post.

BW--would love to be at Perkins, but have to pick my wife up from 6:00 a.m. flight so to turn around and head down to WW from Mpls. area doesn't have a lot of appeal right now. But it's an outside possibility.

My previous post was a response to one which compared the bottom feeders on SJU schedule to their counterparts in the WIAC. I know the kind of response this will get, but if you want to go back to the last MIAC team to schedule RF, UST in the mid-90's, you'll find four lopsided UST losses and a refusal to renew the series.

Now, here's another opinion with no possible proof: Gags is a great coach, no doubt, but his record would not be nearly as impressive had he coached most of his career in the WIAC instead of the MIAC. If I were he, I'd have made the same decision he made when he had the chance to move to another school a few years back--stay at SJU. Let me make this clear: I'm not dissing Coach Gagliardi.
