But as I pointed out before, an SJU player was on here quoting his coach about a month ago so players reading this stuff is not out of the realm of possiblity!!

When was this?  I'd be interested in seeing this if you can locate it.

413,

I am 99.999% certain no current Johnnie player has posted on here this year.  For sure not in the last month.  (I spend waay too much time reading these damn things.)

Are you sure what you recall wasn't a former player?

I don't know that he was a current player but  it seemed like it but I could be wrong.  Do any of you remember the comment where the guy said, " Hell, I know how good WW is, Gagliardi told me recently that they don't exactly pull their kids out of the corridors."
Anyway, I am paraphasing and don't want to go searching back 25 pages to reread it.  Don't remember the rest of the text but I thought it made references to the team that lead me to believe he was a player.  He seemed like he had good access to the coach but I could have made the wrong assumption.  Don't want to offend any SJU posters.  They have had a rough week!  You guys know by now, I am not afraid to apoligize when I am wrong.  And yes GHC, I'll be at the game.  I'll be the one wearing the red carnation in my lapel and holding a brewsky!!! ;) ;) ;)

Good deal,
Look us up,  there are quite a few D3 posters that tailgate together.  We even are getting a guest appearence from PLU great D-Train this weekend.  The tailgate action is about 3 blocks south of the Catdome.  Look for a rather large motorhome on the corner and the purple Linfield flag-  Cant miss us. Just look for the reflection off of the championship ring ;D

BadgerWarhawk,
Don't mean to be bringing up old news, but I have not been around much and was just reading that your O-coordinator was named coach of the year awhile back.  Just a question:Is he the same guy who goes crazy on every play in the booth or is that someone else?
I was in the next booth at our Stout/WW game and even with glass between us, I have never heard such wild, rapport over the head phones.  It got so bad that  the a Stout official two booths down came into his booth and asked him to tone it down because it was so distracting to everyone in the area.  May just be an awesome coach, but wow, it was intense and it was VERY loud.
Look forward to seeing you during the bb season.  Had a great visit with Joe Corello during the football season.  Very excited about your bb team but I am worried about my picking them over La Crosse tonight.  Talk to you soon.  I also had to look up Beaver's shirt on the photo and just decided that it is a great way to show the world that he lifts, has a great neck, and he is a great looking kid.  (And the best back I have seen come out of this conference in a long time)

I don't remember exactly who quoted John as saying that, but it was no player.  That's a quote that John throws around just about every game.  It was either a former player or just about anyone who has talked football with the man.  No hard feelings, I was just curious if I missed a player posting, and I wanted to straighten it out so no one got the wrong idea.

I do remember this post, and your paraphrase is very close.  It was not a player.  I think I remember who it was, but don't want to post in case I am wrong.   ;D

I think on Saturday that the Warhawks will find the Elliott to Allen/Keck/Haze connection a bit more potent than the Kofoed to Gearman/Somebody/Somebody Else connection.

Similarly, I think the Cats will find the Beaver running machine to be more potent than the Kevin Williamson/Cory Johnson/Brian Schumacher running machine.

I think there will be no chance for either team to STOP the other teams top players--Elliott, Jacobs, Allen, Beaver--but rather the team that best contains them will win.

As Dan Patrick always said, "You can't stop them you can only hope to contain them."

You must have pissed him off when you said, "take that WARHAWKS" after Wendt's touchdown catch.  ;D

Yes, Stoutguy, that would be the same coach, Stan Zwiefel.  He's done an excellent job with the offense and was very deserving of the recognition.  Stan lives, breathes, walks, talks, bleeds and everything else you can do WARHAWK football.  I'd heard the story about Stout and have no problem imagining it in my mind's eye.  Stan can get pretty intense and loud.  I was in the booth next to him last Saturday.  When it took us four plays to score from the one yard line, after we'd scored on the first play only to have a mandatory encroachment penalty negate the score, you should have heard that.  LOL   At any rate I'm glad he's on our side.

Looking forward to hooking up again.

OAS, it may just boil down to which team can get a critical defensive stop or two and get a couple of scores up on the other one.

Duffman, thanks for staightening all that out!   Wouldn't want to be guilty of saying anything wrong about a SJU player.  They, their coach and the program have my utmost respect!!!

Thanks, BWH

I am sure that you are right on the money regarding your assistant coach.  Thanks for filling me in.  By the way, as I tried to tell Pat via e-mail, (got no response),  that wasn't me making the "take that WW".  I say a ton of stupid things on the air I am certain, but I like to only take credit for stupid things I say and not what someone else says.  One of the guys I work with made that comment, not me.  I like to think that I do give credit where credit is due and WW deserved the credit in that game.

SG,

If I had a nickle for every stupid thing I've said in the moment of excitement I could give up this insurance scam.   ;D  I just thought it was pretty funny when Pat mentioned it.  You guys are Stoutguys so why would anyone expect a neutral broadcast?  ???
