You probably won't hear from me till next season so it was a blast keeping up with all the jabber.  I got no hard feelings for anybody and I wish all the players and ex-players and fans alike good luck and don't forget to love the game of football, especially WIAC football.

I watched WW play all their games but one this year. I just can't picture them getting beat.

I'm sure Linfield fans feel the same way about their team.

Guess what? Some thing has to give Saturday. (hope it's you guys)

Good luck, will be back to gloat, or pout Saturday night.

Lets hope both teams bring their A game and there's no injuries. Should be a heckava game. I thought the stagg bowl was in VA. not McMinnville

Let's just step back a minute and put this all into perspective...

The way I see it.... Linfield is going to come out ready for the game. This is crunch time. They've had their wake-up call and haircut, now they are ready to rumble. There is no stopping us now, not the Beaver or what's his name. We will do whatever it takes to win the game. The defense is going to come up big. The Linfield D hits harder and quicker than any DIII team in the nation.  Everyone of those guys has an assignment. Everyone of those guys will execute to the max. This is a well coached team, all aspects...right down to the kicking game and the special teams. The offensive will be on a mission, they will be focussed and sharp. The game plan will be flexible but solid no matter what direction it needs to flow....I look forward to a good clean battle with Linfield comming out on top:

I heard that Linfield College has fat chicks mud wrestling crazed farm animals and midgets to raise money for Blake Elliots tuition!

Is there any truth to this?

Bottom line is, Concordia is not nearly as good a team as Whitewater.  Concordia put up 166 yards on the ground on Linfield.  They lacked the big play ability to capitalize in the play action game so that, that 166 yards did not make Linfield play on their heals.  Well I can promise you this, UWW's rushing offense is better then Concordia's and they may have the best play action passing game in the nation.  If they put 166 yards up on Linfield on Saturday they will win the game because that also means that they put up about 250 through the air and thats why UWW wins on Saturday.

First of all, Concordia had one of the best rushing offenses in the nation (better than UWW statistically).  Second, you may run for 160 and pass for 250 but that still only adds up to 410 and linfield is certainly capable of putting up that kind of yardage.  Don't neglect the fact that Linfield had an off week last week with several unforced turnovers.  If they come with their A-Game, you'll need more than thoses numbers to beat them.  No doubt points will be scored but I don't know that UWW can keep up with the Cats in a horserace.
Go Cats!

I would not bet on holding the Cats to under 30 points this Saturday.

Well I don't really agree with your "Concordia is not nearly as good as Whitewater" statement, I will say that we probably don't have quite the big play ability that UWW does, but that was half the reason we were in the game on Saturday.  We kept Linfield off the field for 22 minutes in the first half with long, sustained drives.  Hence why we led 14-7.  If you try to get into a shoot out with Linfield, I don't think you'll hang with them, in my opinion.

But I really don't know much about Whitewater - but obviously you have a good team.  And you maybe think you have a better running game that Concordia, but a running game with I-backs is completely different than an option running attack.

But hey, good luck this weekend.  I think its going to be a great game.
To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

It's a team game, teams win, teams lose.
It was a great experience playing out there with a team of their calibur.

I personally never believed that a perfect throw can beat the best coverage out there, but Elliot and Allen and whoever else the wideouts were did it pretty consistently when we were there.  Not that we were the best, but on certain plays we couldn't have been in any better position and still got beat.

Linfield played at a level higher than us.  Almost like going from HS to COllege.

And there you have it boys and girls    The truth  Karma from me my man

I see several of you stating that your boys will hold the Cats to under 20 points.  You really need to take a second look at this Linfield team.  One that has averaged almost 50 all year long, several of those were in a half.  All I can say at this point is that it will be interesting to hear post game comments from your players after they experience the Catdome.
Im leaving in a couple of hours for Oregon, will be hangin with the boys at the Elks tonight--Pre-game tailgate strategy and such, then camping out at Wildcat 11's until game day.
See you all at the Catdome

Right on GHC:  Cats held under 20 points????  Come on WIAC posters.....I give your team a lot of credit but do you really think that they UWW will hold Linfield to under 20 points.  This is an offense that has only scored under 40 points 2 games all year.  I know, I know, UWW has only given up over 20 points like 3 games this year and held St. JOhns to a touchdown.  Anything is possible, right?  But unless the Cats pull a Johnnie and turn the ball over 8 times there is no way they'll be held under 20 points.  I've said it several times before, this is going to be a high scoring game.  Both teams have good Defense but both teams have Outstanding Offenses.
Go Cats!

I'll take 7-6.

I'm getting out now before the rain hits.
I thought I would go north and try to find the source of the 75 degree blocker.
While I'm at it I might as well try to find some elk, hawk, and whatever other game I can handle.

I don't know if I'd say that.  I'm guessing you haven't even seen Concordia play.  UWW has the edge in big-play ability.  I think CC has a better run game, though.  I was actually more impressed with CC's defense, although UWW is probably just as good.

Linfield - 38
