Kubiak78....those totals do not reflect the region finals.  After those totals are posted, I'm guessing I'll have the lead based on the UWW victory and my selection of UWW beating Linfield in the regional final.

Carpediem...it's all about cowbell.

I am somewhat amazed that no one has really poked as to what WW will do against their opponent...Wesley...

I am reminded of Rowan's reaction to their win over Mount Union in 1999, shocking the world with an overtime victory in Alliance.  After feeling like they toppled the champion, they went to the Stagg Bowl and were pummelled.  That, to me, is a key to the game...inspiring WW to get up to play Wesley after beating the #1 team in the country, and the prohibitive favorite to win it all once again.

I'll go out on a limb here and say they'll probably keep doing what they've been doing.

Wesley is a team I don't know too much about, not sure about anyone else here. Looking at just statistics, it seems on defense they like to force turnovers. Bryan Robinson and Mario Harris are 1 and 5 respectively in the nation in forced fumbles.

Offensively, it sounds like Chris Warrick has a strong, accurate arm. Are they a team that uses the pass to set up the running game? It also looks like Marcus Lee has some solid receiving numbers.

Congrats to the WW team. That was the single most exciting game I've ever seen. It's over 24 hours and a 10.5 hour drive home and I'm still amazed. Good luck to the Warhawks in keeping the Walnut and bronze in the west.

Pat Cummings, at WW we have coaches who look at film and game plan. We don't rely on d3football.com posters for information. In case Wesley does, here's a tip. Watch out for the "statue of liberty play".

Pat Coleman

And those coaches pass things on to the fans via the message board?

I am sure that UWW's coaches have already broken down game video on Wesley. Why you would take a shot at someone from D3football.com trying to inform fans of what he has seen regarding Wesley is beyond me.  :-\

Just got home from traveling all day and I am exhausted but wanted to come on and tell the Linfield players, coaches, fans and posters, especially GHC and wildcat11, etc, what a remarkable time I had and how much we enjoyed their hospitality!  It was crime that one of those teams had to loose!  Your stadium was very impressive and the tailgaters and fans were very welcoming.  We even had some great tailgaters feed some of us and it was terrific.  You are right, your QB is something quite special and his play really must be witnessed to be believed.  Such a quick and accurate release!! And great recievers as well. The Wildcats are an amazing football team!! Good luck to Brett and we will be toasting him when he signs his first NFL contract!  The town, campus and people of Linfield College and McMinnville did themselves proud.  You were gracious hosts and the Warhawk family thanks you!  It seems to me that it wasn't about who made the most big plays as it was who made the last big play.  10 lead changes and over 1,000 yards of offense.  The greatest football game I have ever witnessed!
