Okay,
Well history was made and the warhawks did what many people never thougt they could which was beat the undefeated national champions.
However they are not done yet,and have another big game this week against Wesley. I am sure coach Brez told them this afternoon in the meeting how good they are,and he will be the one to make sure everyone is back in reality today.
As far as redandpurples complaint about the overrated chants. Please give me a break. The warhawks beat the defending national champions. I believe that their fans have every reason to chant that. As no one except the warhawk players, coaches families, and the entire warhawk nation (i.e. anyone who was ever involved in the program) believed that they could win
What do you expect them to chant, and I would expect that same thign to happen if the roles were reversed. Of course no one from WW would complain.
Okay enough about Linfield.
"TO BE THE BEST YOU GOTTA BEAT THE BEST" and thats what the warhawks did.
Wesley your next.

Congrats on beating the best. The WarHawks came to play. Do the West proud. Win it all...
The great blessing of mankind are within us and within our reach; but we shut our eyes, and like people in the dark, we fall foul upon the very thing we search for, without finding it

Blugold,

I think it is preposterous of you to think that anyone will breeze past  Mt Union (assuming they both win this week).  Whitewater may have a great team but I don't think anyone can claim to have breezed past Mount Union since the 1980's or early 90's.  The closest anyone came was St. John's who while certainly outplayed them in the final a couple years ago, but MUC was still in the game mid way through the fourth quarter.

Don't take your sites off the prize becausae it looks to me like Wesley is a real team.

WIACPOWER

A few weeks ago I made mention on post that I was disappointed with the crowd at the WW first playoff game and how the over all confernce attendance was down.  I said that the WIAC was one of if not the strongest in D3.  A few St. John's fan thought I was nuts.  You all know what happened that game....now WW beats Linfield...Wonder what these smart guys think of the WIAC now.

Good Luck WW this Saturday!

Tuxguy

WiacPower, .....Just to let you know, The Wildcats never overlook a team.

As for the WIAC as a whole, very tuff. You guys beat up on each other every year. The NWC might have been down this year, but yr. in yr. out we are one of the best in the country.

As I said before, Great game sat. Do the West proud, Good Luck!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

What does attendance have to do with the WIAC being a good conference?  ANd who ever said that the WIAC wasn't one of the toughest conferences?  And how can you piggy-back the conference's strength on UWW's success?  Just because one team goes deep into the playoffs doesn't mean the conference is tough.

By the way, the WIAC is a tough conference and UWW is a very good team.  I'm just saying that according to your logic, the NWC and the MIAC have been the toughest conferences in 2004 and 2003.

cawcdad- I'd like to see those pics but your e-mail comes up as hidden to me. Anyone else have a photo gallery from saturday's game online?

Tuxguy

Go to the NWC board, find ATC and he has a link, I wish I could enjoy them more.

He did a great job on the photos!

Dah!!!your Johnies win by about 40 points every week (in conference)...Hell the 3rd place St.Olaf team took a 63-9 a-- kicking againt St Johns..and this isn't just this year...seems to me WW spanked you guys pretty good!

I would also like to say last year Platteville beat WW and didn't win 1 conference game this year.

I think you would have to admit there some pretty weak sister in your league year after year!

Why is all this macho "we're better than you are" banter going on again? For me, it is a complete non-story at this point.  While this is a forum to express your opinions, the vast majority of us are unimpressed with that kind of banter right now.

warhawkexpress28

i would have to agree with voice on this one.  you take your wins and loses when you get them and move on and if you cant handle the losin part go back and whine and cry on your own board
If you wanna be good practice till you get it right, if you wanna be great practice till you cant get it wrong..

I think you're missing my point.  I'm freely admitting the WIAC is a good conference and conceding the fact that UWW beat us handily this year.  There is no arguement there.
My point is, who gives a **** about how tough the WIAC is right now?  I think UWW would be where they are right now if they played in the MIAC or the WIAC this year.  What does it matter how tough the conference is?  You don't get an award for toughest conference.

I'm cheering for UWW this week, but some of you make it awful tough.

Duff
i would agree with you on everything you said.  I played in the WIAC and i do believe its the toughest conf.  but that means nothing if the best team cant make a run like the Hawks are this year.

Oldrat,
no,  but they tried to say he was my dad
