Hey BW,

Looks like you have more snow on the ground down there than we do!  :)

The Warhawks are reminding me of the Indianapolis Colts this year. Just on a major roll, baby!

warhawkexpress28

i really hope that Wesley comes in here and thinks they are gonna just run by us like all their fans seem to think.  Cause if they do this could be an ugly game and they wont be happy on their flight back
If you wanna be good practice till you get it right, if you wanna be great practice till you cant get it wrong..

The great blessing of mankind are within us and within our reach; but we shut our eyes, and like people in the dark, we fall foul upon the very thing we search for, without finding it

warhawkexpress Coach Drass and the boys are not underestimating your team. And we fans aren't either. We are just "expressing" our opinions on how well we think they are playing. Other than (ONE) very boisterous or two people, The people on these boards from Wesley are knowedgable of the game of football

PA_Wesley fan,
I as well as most of the warhawks fans can pretty much guarantee the fact that no one in whitewater is taking you lightly.
The game on Saturday is gong to be great. Although it will be hard to beat last weeks game. However all the warhawk fans need to put the Linfield game as great as it was behind us, because it's over. Wesley and only Wesley should be on our minds

Hey no disrespect to Wesley but if WW plays anything like they have the past 3 weeks,  Ill  be makin plans to be at the Stagg Bowl with 3's

I can't say it enough.  You need to play your best!!  Wesley is ready to play and hungry for a win.  Do not look past them to a possible game that only exists if you win on Saturday.  That would be foolish after the magical game you had against Linfield last Saturday.  what a game that was and I only got to read the posts afterwards when I already knew the score.  Prepare well.  Wesley is a worthy opponent!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

I noticed on one of the websites that UW-W is giving away 1,000 tickets to students for the Wesley game. Is that an indication that tickets are not selling very well? Has anybody heard what kind of crowd they are expecting? It would really be a shame if they don't have a large turnout.

There will be a great turnout for the game!  These boys have alot of supportive and appreciative fans and this game will bring in many WIAC faithful from across the state.  But having said that, it is Dec. 10th and colder than crap so that can have some effect on the other fans that will think about attending.  As for students, it is the end of the semester and some might be feeling broke.  UWW does alot of promotions throughout the season in many different ways for the students and the fans so the ticket give-away is not that out of the ordinary.

SeoulGuy

BTW, who is paying the 4 grand for the tickets???

warhawkexpress...

I think it was you that put up all your 40 times on the board.  If anyone was talking about Wesley's speed, it was the fans of the teams we have played.  Once you started in with you world class sprinter, we had no choice but to knock you down.  Here is a quick breakdown for you more serious posters.

Wesley Offense.  Multiple set, no huddle.  Everyone can catch the ball at anytime, except lineman of course.  Nelson in the backfield will not run over you, but will make you miss if you don't wrap up.  Koroma will spell Nelson and is a much different runner.  He will run through tackles if he can, and is always leaning forward for yardage.  If you see Perry in at runningback, that means you won't be in a good mood, but he is quick and small, hard to find.
As for the WR's... I coached college ball for 5 years, yes, even one year in the WIAC, and I have never seen any WR make catches the way Lee does, never.  He uses is hands on every catch.  He does well in space and will get positive yards after the catch.  Beavers is different the Lee.  His speed is very deceptive.  I have never seen this kid get caught from behind.  If he gets by you, you won't catch him.
Bayles at tightend might be the biggest problem for you come saturday.  With your secondary dropping back to cover the wideouts, your linebackers will have to worry about the TE and Nelson out of the backfield.  But, I know from experience, that WIAC linebackers are solid performers and good open field tacklers.
Defensively... Wesley has made good defensive decision the entire year coaching wise.  Upfront you will see four solid d-lineman.  Robinson is the best.  His play in the playoffs has been dominating.  He is good at stopping the run and can get to your qb unless you throw a lot of three step.  (not a WW trait)  Johnson on the other end is tall and has reach.  He has a way of getting off blocks using those long arms.  Both inside guys will be hard to move, but will have to play heads up ball adjusting to all of your zone blocking schemes.
Linebackers are mobile and sure tacklers.  They are good at popping through holes on the line and getting in the backfield.  This week, they can't be over aggressive with the zone or they'll overrun and Beaver will go backside for a bunch.
Secondary... the leader is Mario Harris at free.  He will be a big part of the game on Saturday.  This kid is small in size buy huge on the field.  He is what coaches call a "striker".  Most corners and safeties are wrappers.  This kid brings everything with him for the tackle.  Big or small, he will bring you down with a crack.  Nice kid though, you would never know his intensity off the field.
Everyone else is solid, good tacklers which is why Wesley is a bend buy don't break defense.  They will create some turnovers if you don't protect the ball.
Special Teams... We have a punter and two kickers.  Kickoff coverage is a wrecking ball.  It is hard to find a bunch of kids that just want to go down 5 times a game and knock someone's head off, but Drass has found about 8 of these.  It is a fun thing to watch.  Kick return hasn't been great, but with beavers back there, all he needs is a seem.  Better run your alley.

Wesley is a solid football team, which is why they have gotten this far.  No, they don't play the type of competition involved in playing in the WIAC, but that by no means gives you guys the edge in this one game.  Whitewater has had a great year, no doubt about it and will bring everything to table on Saturday. That's what makes a playoff system so special.  I know that every  WIAC team has tough, physical kids, that just want to tear your head off.  You have every bit the talent as any other team left in the field if not a bunch more.  You are at home this weekend.  Your biggest challenge will be to come off a huge win and play a team that is unknown really to most of D3.

Anymore questions, I'll be happy to answer if I know.
