[  When the Warhawks monkeystomp Mt. Union next Saturday, I hope the NCAA committee takes notice.

Do you even know when the last time Mount Union was Monkey Stomped (I assume that this means a win by more than 20 points)?

The last time someone thought they would Monkey Stomp MUC was Rowan I think in 93.  We all know how that one turned out.

I think I saw somewhere that a D3Football Recognized Monkey Stomp was a loss by 21 points. The last time Mount Union was Monkey Stomped was November 4th, 1989 in a loss to John Carroll 31-7. (Thanks Ric for keeping all that data handy at your website).

That is a 16 year Monkey Stomp Free Streak. Can anyone beat that?

Congrats Warhawks on keeping this run going.  Go out there and represent the west well.  I want to see the Warhawks win by a Catnip.  Warhawks fans...travel well to Salem and have fun out there.

I think where the WWW fans have gotten confused regarding monkey stomps and MUC is that in the history between thew two teams that is all they know.  Unfortunately for the WWW fans they have been on the receiving end of the Monkeystomptm.

Now I am not predicting a MUC Monkeystomptm this week but a low scoring game will likely go to MUC.  A high scoring game will likely go to WWW.

Earlier there was a question about the comparison of Linfield & MUC.  I don't think there are many similarities except they both have a good history.  Linfield is a very dominate team on the back of Elliot; if you can't gun sling with them you don't have a chance.  They are very one dimensional, but their passing is exceptional and it was to our weakness, so it definitely gave us fits. I think MUC is not as scary on offense.  Last week we allowed our first 100 yd rusher and that came on our third string D in the forth Quarter.  And as we all no the weather was crazy and to stop a scat backs 1 offense vs. 3 Defense is really hard.  I think if weather is decent their run game will be absent.  Their Defense seems to be their true strength of their team, so we will see if they are able to stop the beav from chewing up 200 yards.  I know they don't have to power to stop the fabulous four completely; Derek and Jimmy will still eat up 100 each.  MUC chance to win this game is ridding on the D if they can stop us from scoring 20+ they will have a chance.  We all know they will not be scoring 40 on our D their just that potent in the right positions.

Congratulations to UWW on your impressive season and playoff run. Good luck in the Stagg Bowl.

I think the 2 best teams met in McMinnville on December 3.  WARHAWKS! WARHAWKS! WARHAWKS!

Do not, however, underestimate Mount Union. They are as close to a dynasty as you'll see in D3 football and should be considered the favorite. I'm looking forward to watching a really good football game on Saturday.

If I have to get up so early on the west coast to watch the Stagg (I'm up at 4:30 A on working days) I hope for good weather and a running show between the 5'9" backs.

No injuries!

i really dont think you have to worry about WW underestimating anyone, everyone from wesley was hopin they would and they handed to them.  also the seniors on this team were around when Mount Union dominated the Hawks a few years back, and from talkin to them they havent forgot those games.  I played in both those games and HOPE WW will hand it right back to them if not worse

Exactly, all of the juniors and seniors on this UWW team, as well as red-shirted sophomores, have experienced Mount Union first hand.  UWW will not walk into this game blind as the leaders know what to expect from the New York Yankees of Division III football (minus the $200 million dollar payroll).  We, the Warhawk Nation, know what to expect.

We'll be ready.

QuoteI hope you guys do realize that all the talk of the Stagg bolw having been played two weeks ago IS NOT coming from Warhawk fans and that most of us if not all of us expect a very tough physical game.  Can't wait to see it.

After your business is finished this weekend and you've taken some rest, please come back on with a players report (and that of anyone who saw both Dec. 3 and Stagg in person) about the most worthy opponent, would you?

Also, we were allowed to tailgate in the parking lot.  I wrote the officials there and they said tailgating is allowed, though you should just hide your beer if anyone comes snooping around.  Technically, it's illegal to have open containers (beer etc) in public, but they really don't enforce it unless you really make a scene.

I would also like to invite any UWW posters/fans to stop by "Stone Station" in the parkinglot at the Stagg Bowl. I will be rolling in with my pull-behind grill and grilling up 75 BBQ Chicken quarters beginning at 8am in the parkinglot. Should come off the grill @ 11am. First-come-first-serve. BYOB and come introduce yourself to some of Bridgewater College's finest posters,LOL. Serious though just look for the Garnet Bridgewater Football Flag in the parkinglot and be ready to party prior to the Stagg Bowl. Ask the Linfield guys, we had a great time last year. ;)

For those of you who will not be able to attend in person due to working constraints, give DR2Da a call.  #6 and #94 will probably be hanging out.  #3 and #28 would be going Thrusday morning!

Whitewater fans--some guy from MUC told me that WW basically had a free trip to Salem.  I went on to tell him that the West is by far the toughest competition in the playoffs.  He thinks MUC played the hardest teams in the nation and thinks the MUC will run away with the chipper on Sat.  He is raiderguy.

GO WARHAWKS!
