Well, the line-up has been announced.  It ll be the clash of the Titans in Purple.  On Post Patterns I promised the team who would go to the Stagg Bowl and play Mount Union that I would bake them brownies and cheer for them.  My word is good.  I have written Coach Berezowitz and Justin Beaver to let them know, but they may have already left for the sunny South (where it might snow a bit on Thursday).{So somebody in the Warhawk nation might just want to send the message on.  Brownies for WW after the game!!! I generally make 14 pans every Monday for my players :) :) } However, I have already begun to bake for WW.  Here is a representative list of the brownies I have made this year for my OLiners who have shared them with their teammates (or at least they promised me they would):  triple chocolate Godiva brownies, Chocolate Raspberry browniews, M & M blondies, Peanut Butter Reece's pieces brownies, Chocolate M&M brownies, Cinnamon Chocolate Brownies, German chocolate Toffee brownies, Carrot Raisin Craisin brownies, Fudge Toffee brownies, Chocolate Andes Mint brownies, pumpkin raisin craisin brownies, almond macaroon brownies, Chocolate caramel brownies, just to name a few.  I think the guys will enjoy them.  I will have plenty at Stone Station as well for those who would like to drop by and make our acquaintance.  As Pat says, we are a fun group.  And  BC is only about an hour and 1/2 away from Salem so a whole bunch of us will be there to add to your numbers.  The Mount Union side is already sold out and they are putting some of their fans on the WW side.  But we will make plenty of noise  and I know you will bring many loyal fans along with you.  It's suposed to be sunny and in the 50's.Bring whatever kind of shoes needed for that kind of weather.  Go Warhawks.

Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

raiderguy....I hear you on the karma thing. If you are at all colorful, controversal or provacative you will be docked...  ;D  people seem to like the vanilla stuff best. I prefer the spicey stuff, it may give you gas later but it sure tastes good while munching it.... :o

PS....I still don't get the Tommies Suck thing? What's that all about? I hear some of the Johnnies saying that but what's the matter with St Thomas? They seem fine to me. I've heard they sometimes put out a pretty good team?

Olinemom - I have a real soft spot for brownies myself, the German chocolate Toffee brownies are making me slobber all over myself. For those of us not blessed enough to get to Salem, is there a way we can order a pan or more online and FedEx'ed to us??? Quote a price and maybe we can work out a deal. It would be a nice addition to our Stagg Bowl party refreshment list. We are all Warhawk fans-4-A-Day, too, & a long way from home!

Two words:  THE STREAK

So i was doing alittle research on the NCAA website and i was looking at the D3 record books and I saw that the season mark for rushing was 2,385. By my math that would put Justin Beaver with 2,295 yards rushing currently just 90 yards from breaking the season mark.

I havent heard any talk of this to date and if there was i missed it.  Do playoff games count in the records?? is my reasearch correct?? is my math correct??

If it is true that he is only 90 yards from the record why isnt this getting any publicity(maybe im the first/only loser to look that up so far), thats a huge number, and he is only a soph!!

Go Warhawks!! One game left!!

Pat Coleman

You may have been the first person to realize it.

Playoff games do count. They haven't always counted in NCAA records but starting a couple years ago they were included, just not retroactively.

I would say 90 is not a given against a Top 15 rush defense but it is definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Pat,
Looking at his rushing stats through the year, I think it is a guarantee he gets 100+.  The weird thing is, he did not get any P.T. in their first game against st. norbs.  the next game was his lowest output of the season @ 110.  The only way he does not get it is by injury.

Or if MUC chooses to focus on stopping the run and forcing the pass. MUC D is only allowing 80.5 YDS a game.

Oh, please, please, please,   let MUC focus on stopping the run and forcing the pass.........

      Jacobs                    3246 Yards passing
      Stanley                  1229 Yards recieving
      Leszczynski           1124 Yards receiving

And Beaver didn't play in the first game of the season.  Resting a tweeked hamstring from camp.  Still won 47-3 without him.  Too bad, if he had played, he would own that rushing record already!!

SeoulGuy

What is does is come down to picking your poison for the Mounties. If they try to stop the run, they're likely to get burned through the air.  Either way, they are probably in a lot of trouble -
35-14 WW win.  :o

footballfan413

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't St. Johns 3rd in rushing defense when WW played them.  Beaver hung 168 yard rushing on them!!  Here's hoping for another record broken!!   Run Beaver Run!!
