What a great game in Salem, even though I am sad that UWW's valiant comeback fell short.
You Warhawks have nothing to be ashamed about and I was happy to be apart of your successful journey.  Wish you all a safe journey back to Wisconsin.
Hopefully we see more WIAC and CCIW teams in the post-season next year.

Out of all fairness I know they have little knowledge of D3 football, but they were stumbling over their play by play all day.  THUMBS DOWN

At least the announcers were much better than last year's game... those two were brutal... Pam Ward and Mike Thomzak (sp)... at least both of the announcers had played football sometime in their life....

Go Thunder...I think your top three is accurate for the end of this season. 

1. Mount
2. UWW
3. Linfield

But I don't think Linfield will be there in next years pre-season poll.  I think the pollsters see how much they are losing and figure they can't possibly reload that kind of firepower. 

On the other hand, WW and Mount look to be extremely young...SCARY!

First off, congratulations are in order to Mount Union. You showed once again why you are the premiere program in the country, and at an elite level in D3 football.

What a game! This is what D3 football is all about, the epitome of how the game was meant to be played. Certainly nothing in the NFL, and, dare I say D1, tops what we see on the field week-in, week-out in D3...

To the Warhawks - Thanks for letting this UWEC Blugold jump on the bandwagon for the ride. I have the utmost respect and admiration for what you have accomplished this season.

To the seniors: The outcome may not have been what you wanted... But in a few years, when you look back on today's game, you're going to realize that playing for a national championship in your last collegiate game isn't a bad way to go out...

To the guys coming back: Unfortunately for the rest of us in the WIAC, you are going to have another great team coming back next year. Gentlemen, you've been there now, have seen what a D3 dynasty does, and what it takes, to win a championship. Take the lessons you have learned today, keep your heads up, and eyes focused on next year, for another run at the title...

Warhawks, you really showed what you're made of in the fourth quarter - and, I confess, I almost missed it!  I figured NO ONE could put up 21 on MUC in the 4th, and nearly turned off the game!

While it is an old and tired cliche for losers, today it might really be true that 'You didn't lose, you just ran out of time'!
