Wow is it been quiet in here, does Eau Claire intend on making some noise soon?

BDB

I heard they were going to announce the guy from Marietta sometime today.

We'll see.

According to UWEC website Glaser is the man.

blugold45

Glaser is the man at UWEC.  Well this is not to be surprising since his ties to UWEC and his coach of the year in the OAC made him a shoe in for the position.  There are few in the coaching ranks that have as much passion for Blugold football as coach Glaser.  I had the privilage to play for him and know what dedication and love he has for the program.  He will take it places that Hoffner could never because Hoff was an outsider and not an alum.  The defense has taken a noticable slide since coach Sipple has taken over, he probably never had the background to be the coordinator and it showed in the horrible numbers the D put up while he was there.  Good luck to coach Glaser and expect big things from the Blugolds next year.

Next, question is who does Glaser name as his offensive coordinator next year and will it be the same offensive scheme because that will lead to an easy trasition and a better year, next year.

Wasn't Sipple at one time rated among the hottest Division III prospects according to American Football Coaches Monthly?  I think he was, but have to agree with blugold45.  I saw Coach Sipple at a clinic once and wasn't very impressed.  I think he needed more cowbell.

I see Matt Pagel (UW-Lax) is on the Green Bay Blizzard (AF2) roster, but somehow not in the team pic?  What is that story?

zakkwylde

I think its b/c he is technically a rookie and has not officially made the team yet.  They have their first game tonight in the Quad Cities.  Also see a cat from Lakeland on the roster.  Nice to see some D-III Wisconsinites playing indoors.  Would you agree Frank?

Pagel might not have been able to fit in the picture. I think he's up to around 260.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

yeah but still running a 4.4 40

It's always been interesting to me that a someone who weighs that much, and runs that fast, can't find a way to get his college paid for by means of a scholarship.  That puzzles me.  Was Mr. Pagel a highly touted football prospect coming out of high school, or did he make himself into what he is once he got to college?

First of all "zakkwylde" before we start putting people's name on blast why don't you identify yourself first.

I agree it is great to see some D3 guys playin indoors,  I always rep WIAC first, but D3 overall I love to see.

Kurt, it is puzzeling isn't it, the sheer mass to force ratio on that kid has to be ridiculous.

And mr. pagel was at Northern Michigan his first year and choose to leave for UW-Lax.

New York Jets scout in Whitewater the other day. Stanley ran a 4.34 40 yard dash, also looked at Jacobs and a lineman or two. Kind of different to have a pro scout around campus.

I'm excited for spring ball, go Hawks!

Anyone hear if Trey is getting a look anywhere?

Actually the Jets looked at 4 players.....TREY BELL, JACOBS, SCHMITT, and STANLEY.....All did well...
