My goal is to retire at 60 which is 12 years away.
I may not have much to say, but I'll say it anyway.

Bluegold fans seem to have vanished from this board.  Anyone have thoughts on EC in 06?

Too early to be thinking of football...

That being said, the 'Golds will be revamping the offense, including a new QB and starting backfield, plus a new head coach...

Defense returns the majority of the starters...

Last year's team could have finished 7-3, but for a disappointing OT loss to Oshkosh. Two of the team's 4 losses were to tough non-conference opponents. Plus Whitewater...

Not sure how strong this year's non-conference teams - Black Hills State, SD, and Alma College, Mich. - are... in addition to St. John's. But probably looking at another 6-4 season...

How can it possible be too early to be thinking about football when the boys report in only 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 days!!!!!   :) :) :)

It hit 99 in EC today, so I still can't be thinking football just yet.  ;) Or maybe Chippewa Valley Predators football??? Got to be a hot one at Carson Park as they start tonight's playoff game...

But if I were thinking WIAC, and I was about a week ago, when I saw UWSP's schedule, I'd comment on the Pointers' schedule...

What the heck. I'll talk football. Ha. Only three home games? If they were to make the playoffs (I don't foresee that, though) at least they will have been road tested.

Interesting to see that they get La Crosse for the Spud Bowl. If memory serves me correctly, they usually schedule a non-conference team, or a cupcake, for that one...

Anyone got the score for Sats. Franklin Outlaw game?
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Janesville,
The score at halftime was 9-8, in favor of the Roscoe Rush.
The final score was 28-9, in favor of the Franklin Outlaws.

badgerwarhawk

Roscoe was undefeated and their defense hadn't been scored on in the first three games.   Depending on the outcome of the Milwaukee/Oak Creek game the Outlaw could have moved into a tie for first place.

Unfortunately, the Milwaukee Bulldogs dismissed the Oak Creek Cyclones pretty handily by a score of 37-0.  The Outlaws are still at the heels of the Bulldogs.   The last legitimate chance for the Bulldogs to lose a game during the regular season will take place this coming Saturday when the Milwaukee Bulldogs take on the Roscoe Rush in Roscoe.  If that doesn't happen, then  the Outlaws will have to wait until the playoffs to give the Bulldogs their first 'L' of the season.

Sounds like a half-time talk rivaling "the gipper" must have taken place. Way to go Cap.

Congrats out to Beaver, Brady, Max and, Kleppe for first team preseason All-american.

Good Luck to the Outlaws the rest of the way.

Did you  debate the linebackers on your pre-season All American team and decide those six were better than Robb Widduch, a first teamer last year, or were you unaware that Widduch was returning, Pat?    I was just curious.   That would be something if we had 5  first team All Americans playing on one team.  Wow, talk about recruiting.

just where in Florida are you? That might make a large difference in your outlook eventually.

Pat Coleman

No, we assume all players listed as seniors are out of eligibility unless the school tells us otherwise.
