BDB knows Rico is computer illiterate...   so why must he torment him by only posting Anna pics on the MIAC board?   Rico's much  too busy to page back through 6 pages of posts just to find the pics.

Sorry, Pat.

Being the computer genius that I am I have started the WIAC pickem topic and we should be posting all future picks in that topic rather than here.

"WIAC pick ems" is not in the right spot, BW.  It should come up on the "Pick em" board under General Football.  Not when you click West Region but I have no idea how to fix it.  :D

Oops, in the basketball forums the pickem has always been one of the West region topics so I wasn't clear on that.
I'm pretty sure that you would have to have administrative powers to move the topic from one forum to another.
Perhaps Pat would do that for us unless he's cool with just leaving it in the West Region.

He might be cool with it but I doubt the other West Region teams would be..... ;) ;)

I karma'd you back to 40!!

The Pick em's board had been moved to the proper location.  The path is: Post Patterns, General Football and then you will find the Pick Em's thread is at the top of the page.  Good luck to all!

Final: SJU 15, UWEC 11

Sounds like a fairly well-played game for an opener, seeings there were unofficially three turnovers and seven penalties between the two teams...

First quarter: UWEC kicks field goal; Johnnies follow up with two TDs, but miss EP and FG, too.

SJU had a key goal-line stand when leading at 13-3... SJU adds safety in 4th, EC pulls to 15-11 with a late TD with around 2 minutes left. Blugolds were able to position themselves at the end of the game to take their chances with SJU's special teams, which have been so nice to them the last two years  ;), but SJU recovers onside kick and runs out clock...

UWEC announcers thought the 'Golds were outmatched coming in and probably outplayed today, but credited the 'Golds for hanging around. Once again, like in last year's game, SJU's special teams caused havoc for the Johnnies, allowing the 'Golds to stay in the game...

Not sure what the final stats say, but I'd be interested in someone's take on the game, who was there in person. I'm not looking to hear that the Johnnies were not in sync because it was the first game, so they couldn't get the O going. What I'm wondering is how much of that had to do with the Blugold D, which seemed to play a whale of game today?...

EC WR Matt Evenson had a nice game back, after missing games last year to injury... I'm guessing the 'Golds are going to go to their strength the rest of the season - receivers. They'll be chucking that ball up and letting them make the plays...

34-20, Platteville.

Dubuque (sp?) led 3-0 after the first quarter but Platteville put 27 unanswered points on the board after that to pull ahead for good.

Good effort today by UWEC.  I honestly thought that today's game would probably be a blowout but EC played tough the whole way.   In the 3rd, EC had the ball first and goal from the 3 and didn't score.  On 2nd down, Evenson caught the ball with his feet landing in the endzone but the ball wasn't over the goal line.  Big play in the game.  However, SJU also had some scoring opportunities missed deep in blugold territory.

EC's strength is definately its receivers.  Some areas of concern are special teams, especially coverage on kicks, and the running game.  The punting game wasn't good today but I guess their starting punter is injured.
