I just signed on became a member to this website today, and was curious if anyone new where I could put my conference picks? or is it to late to do that?

"South Dakota State was ranked No. 37 in the Sagarin Ratings among schools in the subdivision formerly known as Division I-AA."

This is from the front page.  Does the term Division I-AA not exist anymore?  I wasn't aware of that.  What is it called?  Maybe Pat can help me out.

This site on NCAASports.com still calls it I-AA:  http://www.ncaasports.com/football/mens/schedules

Schools with I-AA football programs resent being referred to as I-AA in everything, so they have requested it work this way:

Bowl Division (formerly I-A)
Championship Division (formerly I-AA)

The change actually takes place for 2007 but I liked the sound of UWL beating "a Division I team" so I used it there.

Derek Stanley had 4 touchdowns in the first half alone.

In roughly 17 1/2 minutes of play.   Lakeland was really keying on not letting Beaver beat them.  Jacobs and Stanley blew that strategy out of the water.

Many good things Saturday night but penalties weren't one of them.  We absolutely have to clean that up.  We can't play WIAC  level teams like that and not pay for it.

What's in a name?  Oh forget it, that's Shakespeare . A pig's ear is still a pig's ear and Cinderella's slipper is not going to fit 'cause the Championship Division is not the Bowl Division and everybody knows it.  How silly.

Congrat to LaCrosse on the big victory. Best o' luck to UWEC the rest of the way. Should be an interesting game for the Blugolds bext week. Apparently Black Hills has a good-sized FB (6-3, 245) although he didn't do that much damage against Carroll last week, but then Carroll is the Mt. Union of the NAIA.

How is EC travelling? That's a heck of a drive.

FYI, here the story on Black Hills.

A quick tip of the cap from the Northwest to UWL for the win over South Dakota State.   Very impressive victory to say the least....

+ karma for the board, especially you, LBC, for the congrats to a WIAC team!! ;) And congrats right back at you for Brett Elliots making the practice squad!  As long as he keeps moving in the right direction, I am confident he'll get there!  A great QB!

Way to go WW!!  Stanley looked like a man among men in the first half, I think only like one ball was incomplete that was thrown to him, and all 4 of his touchdowns were on great catches, Look out for #2 this year!!  Also our DLine looked great!!   Looking forward for the season.

I was just reading the statistical spotlight on the d3football.com homepage.

A couple of UW-Whitewater players had some pretty impressive numbers!

Derek Stanley played less than a quarter-and-a-half in the Warhawks' 75-14 win over Lakeland College  The senior wide receiver caught 8 passes for 196 yards and four TDs in less than a quarter-and-a-half of action.  Stanley caught touchdown passes of 81, 26, 19 and 27 yards. He also returned two kickoffs and forced a fumble as a "gunner" on kick coverage teams.

Meanwhile, quarterback Justin Jacobs tied the school record by throwing 5 TD passes. The senior finished his abreviated evening (a quarter-and-a-half) by completing 12 of 18 for 18 for 217 yards.

Jacobs and Coach Berezowitz  were in Madison on Sunday night for a 5-minute interview feature on WMTV 15 in Madison's  half-hour Wisconsin Sport's Sunday show.
