Whitewater has gone all over the country playing games. Know maybe UWW has more money then Central. However flying to Eastern Oregon and then getting on a bus a week later to go to St. Johns had to cost a lot of Money.

When did that happen?  In 2002, UWW went to Mount Union (in Ohio) and then to SJU, granted both fairly long trips.  In 2005, SJU played at UWW, then out at Linfield (Oregon).  NCAA takes care of plaa-off travel expenses, though.

As far as I know, that's the only two times the two have played each other.

sorry duff but in 2002 Mt Union at home then to Eastern Oregon then to St Johns, was there would know...
If you wanna be good practice till you get it right, if you wanna be great practice till you cant get it wrong..

Thank you for all the comments on the scheduling woes.  I forgot the fact that the OAC only has to schedule one out of conference game each year.  I liked the fact that MTU played UWW a few years back (Especially since my sister is a UWW grad and I am a MTU grad).  Our Non-Conf. games have not been very challenging as of late, but I guess you get what you can get.  Good Luck and I hope we meet in Salem again this year (if the scheduling works out)!

Wasn't saying anyone was wrong, just posing the question.  I didn't know that UWW played in Oregon that year.

Did I miss something? Was there a "Team of the Week" for week 2?

There was also a link on the front page, under Notables and above the Google search box, from Tuesday night through last night.

Recently there has been a lot of talk about scheduling on the a radio interview before the SJU/EC game Glaser said he would like to renew SJU after next year because it was to late to do it for next year and EC played St. Francis NAIA runner up the last two years and are traveling to Michigan this week.  I agree with all everyone that close D3 schools are scared to take a loss from the WIAC so we have to schedule NAIA, D2, or La Crosses's case D1-AA (hats off to them this year).  Also I bet duff would agree the last couple years EC has been SJU's toughest regular season game so hats off to them too.

I don't know about toughest (that goes to Concordia-Moorhead) but UWEC has generally been one of the toughest games for SJU in the regular season.

What's the prognosis on the LAX vs Stevens Point tilt Saturday?

badgerwarhawk

Point appears weak defensively while that appears to be a LaCrosse strength.   Neither were particularly sharp offensively in their openers.  Both have had a week off between this and their last games.   I'd be surprised to see the Pointer pull this one out.  But it is the Spud Bowl afterall and Pointer don't like to surrender the Mr Potato Head trophy.

LaCrosse was my pick, and most others, in the pick em.

Anyone help me find the UWW-AP game in streaming video? It's happening?

I went to the independent UWW site and it had 'ch19' listed.

OK how about audio?!

OK got the audio thru Warhawk football site Windows Media Player

Ron Boerger

Go to the UWW football site and follow the link there.  It's being broadcast by Penn Athletic and you have to go through a signup process.

It's 10-7 UWW with 1:12 to play in the first half.  Whitewater is driving and could very well score before the end of the half.

The video quality is quite good, but they recommend 600 kBps of bandwidth !

THANKS.

Wow, this game and then HSU, eh Ron? Don't forget to eat.
Hey, how many people are updating the scoreboard page do you suppose?

Ron Boerger

Not as many as could be, unfortunately (IMO)  ;)

Actually I am in Austin this weekend and not really following much football ... but had just popped in to get an update on this game.   From what little I have watched the AP defenders are having a hard time keeping up with the UWW receivers.
