Congrats to the Falcons on a very impressive win on a major road trip. Wow!  :)

One more tidbit from the Eagle-Pointer game: One of the Point announcers opined that La Crosse would beat Hardin-Simmons,which beat the Pointers last week.

BDB--I don't know how impressive the Falcon win was, but any win on the road is good. Lutes got a minus 3 yds. rushing--total.

But this week RF travels to St. Francis, 35-10 winners over EC last year. Previously, SF went undefeated for 4 years straight and have beaten the likes of Butler and Indiana State in that stretch. They have 35-7 and 63-0 wins over schools I've never heard of so far this season, one which was supposed to be "down." Five turnovers and 40% (5/13) passing success (against Pacific Lutheran) will not keep RF in the ball game against SF--unless SF is that poor also.

I agree Captain! But I hope your wrong and it is at least 28 so I can enjoy the game without too much worrying.....

Is there any reason to think that UWW will not only beat, but stomp on the Titans?  I mean they beat them badly last year, and I think that this warhawk team is going to be more improved than the titans.  Anyway, there are many other better games this week than the UW-Zeros and UWW

"While most fans were unfamiliar with Azusa Pacfic, an NAIA program that is allowed 36 scholarships. The team from the metro-Los Angles area had dominated NCAA Division III teams in recent years. Since 1996, the Cougars were 40-7 vs. NCAA Division III teams and has won 13 straight and 15 of the past 16."

I found this information helpful, personally, in bringing perspective to UWW's  27-7 win over AP yesterday........  "

Enjoy this site and this is my first post here.  Just wanted to clarify a statement made earlier.  APU, like all NAIA schools, is capped at 24 full scholarships, not 36. They are allowed to allocate the $ equivalent of those 24 schollies any way the school and coaches want.  In 2005, APU only used 14 scholarships and distributed that amount among about 54 players.  I believe only a handful of NAIA schools use all 24 scholarships - 4-time NAIA champ Carroll (Mont) is among them.

Whitewater is a very good team and showed that against APU.  Not taking anything away from WW, but APU was playing their 3rd road game in a row, having played the week before in Canton, Ohio and prior to that in San Diego.  Penalties were costly and they were just not sharp.  I look for a better showing (and result) against LaCrosse.  However, a D-III team that can run over a full (48) scholarship D-IAA like they did is scary.

If Wisconsin sweeps APU, I'll never eat cheese again.

Changed one of my pick em's on the pick em's board if it is acceptable.  Otherwise just go with original post., Captain!   That is what I get for pulling the trigger early in the week and not doing my homework.  Sorry.  :-[

Sorry my source didn't have the right number of scholarships. While I would like to see the WIAC pull off a sweep, I hope you will reconsider the "not eating cheese again," statement.  Afterall, it is really good for you!!!   ;) :D ;D
