You are confusing your stadium at Stout with elite facilities. it is a nice smaller stadium, but it has a few negatives: No visitor seating behind the visiting team, just like Oshkosh; old type of Astro turf, far too hard, unlike field turf at UWP and Madison, which is much softer;limited parking; not landscaped , just out in an open area;not much room to walk around. It is definitely a nice stadium and I have visited twice, It certainly is a nice improvement over your old stadium which was terrible.

Dear Fred falcon: I agree, zone offense equals no offense. I remember last year when you beat UWP. You got plenty of production. Coach Ogrady said he changed the offense to lessen turnovers. it does not matter if you do not score. hope to see you at Platterville later in the Year. How is your former fullback doing at West Virginia, he is a great player!God Bless You!

Two TDs.

He didn't get a lot of carries but the TV announcers loved him -- game was on TV here on East Coast.

Any chance of a video webcast of the LaX-WW?

The results from the Whitewater game are scary -

Saw them throw the ball against my UWEC Blugolds, with Stanley scoring two TDs. But this week it's back to the run against the Pointers. And the fullback who blocks for Beaver gets a bone or two, or three, thrown to him -scoring three TDs. Ouch. And the leading receiver is the TE this week, too. Scary... Break up the Warhawks!  ;)

With this kind of balance so far, how do you defend them? You can't key on any one player. It would be a fantasy football player's nightmare, since the points are being spread around. But if you drafted by selecting an entire team, UWW would be it.

As a team, that balance has been a perfect start so far this year, and is causing opposing coaches headaches, I'm sure... And lost in all this talk is a terrific defense... We'll see how things turn out next week against the Eagles...

Man, isnt' the WIAC a heck of a lot more fun to follow than the NFL, and in particular, the Packers, over the last few seasons? Yep...

Stout Offensive Game Plan + Stout Clock Management + Stout Kicker + Stout Punter =
THREE CONSECUTIVE LOSSES BY A COMBINED TOTAL OF SEVEN POINTS :(

bulk19--thanks for the blessing. I'm going to share it with the team. This year, for the first time, I'm going to pick the Pioneers over the Falcons when they play--that is, unless something miraculous happens between now and then.

I also agree with your assessment of Stout's stadium vs. P's. That leaves RF's home locale, except for the new locker rooms, recently promoted by the KC Chiefs, tied with SP's--at the bottom of the league. The field is excellent for a grass surface because of supervision of the Chiefs' grounds keeping crew during summer. But the press box and stands are second class, a condition to be changed if plans to renovate come to fruition in the near future.

Owen Schmitt, as Repete noted, is doing very well. I think he only carried 5-6 times last Saturday, but scored two five yard td's. He's a battering ram blocker for Slaton and other talented backs in the West Virginia offense.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

GUYS, very entertaining post. Thanks for the Owen  Schmitt stats, he and Peterlek were the best backfield in WIAC for one season. I know about being snakebitten, over the past 3 or 4 years we have had 16 games decided on the last series , losing most of them. I think the worse field in WIAC is Lacrosse as the visitor seats are terrible. Good for track, bad for football, like Old County Stadium with the Packers. they are demolishing it next year.  I hope it is as good as the FB team is. Carson park went from a dump to nice again, I hope UWL is as nice as Carson Park. No facility is totally horrible, our worst may be better than many conferences best. God Bless you guys and keep it up!

Mr. Downtown

Platteville's Stadium is pretty good, I would have to give them that.

In a couple of years though, when the Oshkosh Sports Complex is finished, I think a couple more votes may go Oshkosh's way for awhile, that is until the La Crosse Stadium is finished.

By the way, who calls a end around when inside your own 20 with less than a minute to go in a game? (refering to Oshkosh vs Stout).

Stout is going downhill, fast.

Meanwhile, Oshkosh has been improving since their loss to Whitewater a couple weeks back. Should be an interesting match up against Platteville on Saturday for homecoming. I sense that Platteville is looking for payback for last year's loss to Oshkosh, at their homecoming.

Saying that Stout has the ebst stadium in the WIAC is like actually giving Al Gore credit for creating the internet.
Whitewater has the best stadium and facilities hands down in the conference. The playing field which is antural grass looks awesome every week there is a home game. Not to mention artifical Turf sucks
Okay well this is the big week where the top two teams in the WIAC are facing off. Lacrosse vs Whitewatwer. The winner of this game will no doubt win the title. I do nmot see either team losing a game in conference and the one who survives this weekends battle at Perkins stadium will be the one to represent the WIAC in the division three playoffs with the WIAC's automatic berth.

I remember the UWW vs UWP Homecoming game 4 years ago when we won by one, and your field was ruined for the rest of the season. We, UWP won because we made one more extra point in the slop. Also, at the end of the game UWW did 3 personal fouls on Tom Stetser running quarterback draws. The UWP is field turf not astro turf like UWS and UWO. IT has dirt in it for softness and durability. It does not turn into a cow pasture think Perkins and Pioneer stadium are 1 and 1a in the Country. We all have our favorite stadiums. I like your parking and visitor stands.God bless you!

doclittle,

Man,,you WW fans have the best  team, stadium, facility, grass and I think maybe even the best air in the conference.  I will give you the team...

I have been to Perkins Field late in the season and the field was all "torn to hell".  It's okay to be average!!

Devil Badger Gopher

LaCrosse will lose a game after Whitewater this year.  Whitewater may not lose after the game with LaCrosse.

Guys, the new stadium in La Crosse is FAR from a done deal.  Last I heard, most of the money raised has been from the student government.

As a veteran disgusted with the way UWL treated the local veterans community, I sincerely hope they fail to raise the money, so I may be biased, but the administration at UWL has been blowing smoke about this for a long time.
