I was wondering who is the last UW Madison drop out that Whitewater had on their team. Most of the players see the writing on the wall and sayw ell i want to go soemwhere I can play, and Whitewater is fortunate to ahve been the choice. However none of them have ever dropped out. One an offensive lineman in particualr was kicked off the team for having a negative attitude. However he did not flunk out.
Also I was not around in 2001 please give more insight to what happen after the game.

I was at the 2001 Homecoming game at UWW between Platteville  and UWW. UWW lost because they missed 2 extra points in the Slop. My UWW made all of them. We scored on big plays and the game slowed down as the field completely deteriorated in the rain. UWW was very upset when we killed the last 5 minutes of the game, running out the clock on 3 personal fouls. Clearly, the Warhawks lost control of their emotions. However, saying they had to be talked into coming out for the post game may be a little harsh! God Bless!

UWPSUPERFAN77

I am glad that some of the UWW fans are taking UWP seriously. However, how will the War hawks react to an emotional win and the loss of Mr. Beaver. I still think this could be a classic trap game. I have some thoughts for The Janesville Flash. Bad behavior and excessive drinking, by anyone ,has serious consequences. For example, what about the people killed or injured by Drunk Driving. What about getting convicted of alcohol related crimes. Want something on your Criminal record ,posted on the Wisconsin Court System, as part of your informal job application! I know misbehavior is not limited to UWW Students, it is everywhere, but we still should not condone it. Again, God bless everyone!

doclittle or whoever you may be,

I couldn't care less how good Whitewater's defense is.  (And they are really good, by the way).

My point, which was appears to have been lost on you, was that you came down on voice's head when he used a little hyperbole to describe Justin Beaver, but then freely dished it out yourself in regard to Whitewater's defense.

I'm not taking sides with either of you, but that was a pretty funny line.

I knew I shouldn't have parked in Janesville and ridden along with the guys who needed to get back to Madison by 7. But I had to ride in the rimmed-out Navigator ... Derek Stanley liked it.

I could have used a few sodas to keep me awake on the drive back to Chi-town. As it was, I conked out at a rest stop for about an hour. But I made it back alive.

One of these days I'll be able to budget time to take in more local atmosphere.

Thanks for the offer anyway.

As far as drinking in college and wilding out in the student section ... I can vouch for it going on more places than not.

Doesn't make it ideal, but it does make it real.

No update on Beaver's X-ray, huh? Still sticking with four weeks?

Guess I'll have to call and ask like a real reporter or something.  >:(

Mom, "big uglies" is how John Madden refers to linemen.
Yeah, but he can't even fly in a plane.  I, as OLinemom, think they are beautiful.  It means the same thing, you know, just a different optic.

Mr. Udub dub: I propose you get 100 negative Karma. You have a UWW Email, so you either work at UWW or are a student. You are in denial of a bad problem, as you are a role model to others at UWW. You are known for the behavior you show. What you say, is always reflected in your heart. If you can tell me anything positive about the negative behaviors you describe, please aluminate me. I have frequently, as a retired Social Worker, given many people  feedback, when i feel someone has a problem, this includes numerous college students at UWEC, Platteville, and UWW.  It is a great country, but liberty should not be abused. I. as always wish you Gods Blessing. We all need it!

Superfan 77 please give it a rest. What is the big deal with the UWW student section. I haven't missed a game there in 5 years and simply I don't know what you are talking about. You mean there were students there for the Homecoming Game that had been drinking...I am shocked!!! I realize drinking in college is a problem but is this the forum for this to be discussed? In 5 years no one has offended me or any of my family at any home game....it's great to see the turnout almost 10,000 people that are loud and screaming. If you want decorum go to a University of Chicago game---no one is there and those that are just drink Starbucks....GO WARHAWKS!!!!!   POUND THE ROCK!!!......

UDubDub - it looks like you took spelling lessons from doclittle, or have you been partaking. Maybe you need to add some writing/spelling classes to your course load.  ;D.

Re: Drinking in college. Since I'm old enough to have some hindsight, I would say that most healthy American boys drink more than a gentleman should while they are young, dumb, .... Most of those go on to lead productive lives, and contribute to society as I hope I have done, and there was a time when one was too many and a hundred wasn't enough. Is overindulging a good thing? "NO" Is it something that should be discouraged? "YES" Is it the worst thing that will ever happen in college? "NO" As long as you don't endanger someone else by getting on the road, or being a nasty drunk, let's keep it in perspective.

You have to keep in mind the fact that Superfan is from Platteville where the students only drink milk.  So this heavy drinking he witnesses elsewhere is something outside his frame of reference.

They like to have cookies with it too. ;)

Superfan, I take it you weren't one of those Carl Rodgers Client Centered social workers. ;)

Post Patterns Summary:

95% of people in college drink.  Deal with this or move out of the country.

I'm thinking that God can  be kept off of this board.  No more blessings.  We can talk about offense and defense, but let's not talk about church things.  That's for Sunday morning.

Doclittle bothers everyone alive.

Platteville is good this year.  Whitewater has to refocus after losing Beaver.  This will be a good game.  Whitewater will win it.
