Remember UWW and UWP playing UWO this year. UWW scores 17,97 yards on 1 play for a touchdown. UWP score 21 against UWO. We also scored 21 against Lacrosse.  You played an injured UWL team. I heard a number of your players were also hurt against Lacrosse.. I am sorry for their injuries. I think our team is Healthier!. Going to be cold, rainy, and windy on Saturday. We are a strong 4th quarter Team, It gets cold in the 4th quarter when your team gets tired. Ask UWO and UWStout. WE beat you in 2001 and 2004, not bad against your juggernaut! You may be more talented, but you are not tougher. We are not intimidated by you .Bring your A game or go home with a digit on the left side. Good luck, God Bless you, and may the best team on this day win!

Last year the Warhawks scored 21 points in a cold 4th quarter agains Mt. Union, and if time had not run out, may have scored one more to tie the game.  I think you will be suprised at the team's ability to play in any weather and under any circomstances

Superfan,
Seeing that the Warhawks played on a forzen field when they played Wesley, I don't think a little rain or cold weather will hurt them what so ever.
Not to mention it was pretty cold against Mount Union and they ahd one of the best come abcks in stagg bowl history.
Yes the Pioneers beat the warhawks in 2001 because of stupid penalties,a nd yes they beat the warhawks in 2004 because of anoffese that didn't start their normal starting QB who hadn't played in two weeks anyways, and a kicker wel;l who just couldn't make a kick when it counted.
However last year the the Warhawks double mionkey stomped the Pioneers 63-29 or soemthign like that and no matter how tough the pioneers are, they are nop match for the Warhawks this year. So the miners axe will be staying with the Warhawks and they will have a fun two hour bus ride home after pounding the PISS out of the PIONEERS, and oh yeah the Whitewater students will be as rowdy as they want to be. Because thats how they role when they are trying to keep it gangsta
GO WARHAWKS POUND THE PISS OUT OF THE PIONEERS

RalphE- it's best to just skip over his posts. You won't miss anything worth reading.

Please.....UWW is tougher than UWP.  Common opponent comparisons don't work like you think they might.  Besides, UWP cannot survive on just a ground game, where-as the Warhawks most certainly can (and will if they have to).  The rain will affect Platteville more than Whitewater.  There is not a single player on either team remaining from 2001, so that was a good, worthwhile reference.

I'm not even sure that's true, I know you have no idea if Widener came back on Wabash in '77 or not ... but are you really bragging about coming up short? Is that what "best comebacks" have come to?

Kevin,

I know you mean well, but please don't engage him.  (I was already guilty of that this week).  This is a poster Pat has booted already, but he keeps coming back.  We're doing our best to ignore him.

The hawks should easily handle the pioneers this weekend barring injuries to half of the starters in pregame.  Looking ahead to next week the hawks have an opponent who appears to be a challenge (Lacrosse appeared to be a challenge leading up to the game last week and we all know how well they did) in MHB, however the weather in Texas may have a greater affect on the team than Crusaders personnel.

I love this ... not quite sure how much sense you make there clownshow .. im guessing youre jumpin on the purple wagon like everyone else ... keep it comin though ... and yes yes .. the warhawks have a better ball club (history, tradition, NUMBER 2 IN THE NATION, ... BLAH BLAH BLAH) ... that is no secret .. but that is what makes pville so dangerous ... teams are always overlookin pville ... ask the drake, augustana, and yes even the warhawk teams of the past .. they have all taken a turn at coming into pville and thinkin its gonna be an easy day ... and believe me, well i hope anyways ... that bobby and the boys are remindin their players not too look at next weeks game ... to focus on saturdays game only .. .from all the talk on here .. it sounds like they are lookin at nothing but playoffs ... and we all know that the emendorfer show can get pretty crazy and extremely unpredictable ... refering back to the 4 and 1 on your own 17 .. LETS GO FOR IT!! move in last weeks game (still baffling me)  ... that and everyone loves rooting for the underdog and mikeys offense is lookin more balanced than ever before ... and his tool box has never been bigger ... should be a great game ... odds from pvegas ===>>  pioneers by 3 ...

Yo Ralphie,
UWW has one goal every week.  That's to go 1 and 0.  If you go onto Warhawkfootball.com and read a few quotes from Coach Brez, you'll see what I'm talking about.  Platteville is the only team on the Warhawks minds right now.  That must feel uncomfortable, knowing that one of the best teams in the country is coming into your house looking to raise hell and then raise up.  P-ville is locked in UWW's sight and the Warhawks be hitting all day Saturday.

"the warhawks have a better ball club (history, tradition, NUMBER 2 IN THE NATION, ... BLAH BLAH BLAH)"

This part just made me smile.  I remember back to when the St. John's, Linfield and MUC posters would throw history and tradition at the UWW posters last year during the play-off run and it would be soooo infuriating!!!!  We were the up-starts then..... how far the Hawks have come!!!  Just laughing at the irony!!!  ;) :D ;D  I am confident that the Hawks won't be looking past anyone and I am sure Pville will give us a game.

GO WARHAWKS!!!  GO WARHAWKS!!!  GO WARHAWKS!!!  GO WARHAWKS!!!

In defense of Bob Berezowitz, back in 2000 the Warhawks played host to the La Crosse Eagles in a Week #5 matchup.  Whitewater was 3 - 1 coming into the game and La Crosse was 1 - 2.  With about 7 mins and 30 seconds to go in the game, Whitewater was on top 22 - 3.  La Crosse came back over the last 7 mins and won 23 - 22.   Now in reference to Beaver being in the game when he got dinged, my question is this....if Whitewater is up by 19 with about 7 minutes to go, is that similar to being up by 28 with with 12 minutes to go?  My mind says yes.  The bottom line?  Don't call off the horses until you know for sure.

Thanks for reading my post.  You guys are the best!!!

Quit crying over spilled MILK! I wrote 3 or 4 weeks ago that Beaver may be overworked. Although, I will miss seeing Mr. Beaver, I did say he was being overworked. His predecessor also retired early, due to injuries! I believe his name was Colin Burns, also all conference. This isa team sport, not one for individual records, at he expense of team goals! When your star plays all the time, who is game ready. Kind of like is Rogers ready to play for the Packers! Out team is physically tougher because we wear out teams in the 4th quarter. By the way, who is your fan, on the Pickums who never picks UWP but criticizes me.Also, i figured out who UDUD DUB is. he is that student who has been in school for 10 or 12 years and stays in UWW to Party I think Doolittle is his manager, who marches down the street ahead of him with his theme Music. LOL! God bless all of You Just because I am Born Again, does not mean I lack a sense of Humor!

I am sorry, I forgot that FootballFan413, is the gentleman that always picks against Platteville. I do not do Pickums, because only God knows who will win, or who he allows to WIN. Later!

Kieth,
I have no idea what happen in the 1977 stagg bowl. As I was only 13 months old at the time.
Nor do I think that losing or being the national runner up as some whitewater people prefer to say is something to bragg about. However they made a pretty good come back against THE BEST TEAM IN DIVISION THRE FOOTBALL MOUNT UNION There string of nationakl titles and winning streaks speak for it's self although they lost in 03 and didn't make the stagg bowl in 04.
As afr as this week the Warhawks are worried about Platteville and platteville only as the George Chryst bowl miners axe is on the line.
Justin Beaver may be hurt however the Hawks still have Rueland,Jacobs,Stanley, and Schmidt, and Their offensive line will make holes for whoever is in the game to run the ball and POUND THE ROCK
GO WARHAWKS POUND THE PIONEERS
