Kevin,

I know you mean well, but please don't engage him.  (I was already guilty of that this week).  This is a poster Pat has booted already, but he keeps coming back.  We're doing our best to ignore him.

My bad then ... consider me disengaged.

Thanks for the love, especially footballfan413, who blogs all over D3 Blogs. I read some of your other team blogs and you are well informed, just not good at picking UWP. All is well, positive Karma for You! I would like to hear from some of the other teams in the conference regarding your games. Every game is great in The WIAC.I try and be funny and yet serious. blessings to all! PS Ralph E send me a email so I can find out your sources. You should do Stand up comedy or write it.. You also get positive Karma!

I got a chance to watch the 4th quarter of the Whitewater-Lacrosse game today on tv (I love FCS for televising a WIAC game every week), and I agree with K-mack here.  At the start of the drive on which Beaver got hurt, most of the 4th quarter remained and it was a no brainer to have him in.  I thought it was a little dicey to keep him in when the clock got under 7 minutes and after the Stanley injury, but it's easy to see why a coach would keep a player in for the rest of that series.  All in all it's unfortunate but count me among those who hope to see him back in the playoffs.  I'd love to see a Whitewater/MUC rematch in Salem this December.  Best of luck...and stay healthy!

What's up with Stanley being injured?

I just drop in to say hi and wish good luck occasionally to the friends I made last season with the MIAC boys and especially the Cat fans and the Stone Station crew from the Stagg Bowl.  You're not a stalker.......are you? :) ;) :D ;D  (Just kidding)

Opps........disengaging...........

He's fine.  Nomal bumps and bruises that half the players on both teams have by this time in the season.

Every week it is pretty much the same thing--a few supporters from UWW's opponent talk up the big upset and on Saturday they get waxed. This has become routine over the last 2 years and we are all used to it. You can keep fantasizing that the Warhawks are looking ahead but it isn't going to happen---their coaches won't allow it. They also realize after last year that having the home field is a huge advantage so each game they don't go out to just win----they go out to pulverize their opponents. Now besides that they have rallied together to overcome the loss of Beaver and make the freshman backs successful just like Burns took over from Beaver and vice versa when each were hurt before. It all starts with the Oline and Front 7 on defense and there is no one even close to those two groups in the WIAC and that is why they dominate week after week. Add to that impact players like#2,#16,and#84 who are the best at their positions in the conference and that means you lose this week and the only question is by how much....GO WARHAWKS!! POUND THE ROCK!!......

Does anyone know when the first NCAA regional rankings come out?

I wasn't sure anyone would catch that. People confuse Keith with Kevin all the time, no big thing.

As far as I know Stanley is fine and will play Saturday ... but you can't drag a mid-week update out of these Whitewater guys no matter what.

Sakman.  We Johnnie backers have been getting a steady dose of that for over 20 years. You should be so lucky that you get tired of it.

doclittle,

I have to jump in here for a moment. Yes, with the score 28-7 in the fourth quarter you put some points on the board. But, with the game on the line and WW down only 28-21 the Raiders proceeded to put together a 5+ minute drive to push the score to 35-21 and gave the ball back with a little over two minutes to play.  WW scores a meaningless TD with 2 seconds left on the clock. A perfect example of the prevent defense.
Not one of the greatest come backs as mentioned before 'cuse you usually have to win the game for that to apply. A good game though.

FYI since it was mentioned

Total defense stats 2006 YTD VS 2005 same period.

#3 Raiders 160.3 PG  a shade better than last year. 190 last year.

#26 WW 227.2 PG also better than last year but I can't find the stats because they were not in the top 35.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Just Bill

Congratulations Whitewater!  You haven't truly hit the big time until you have St. John's AND Mount Union fans interested in your message board.

Apples and Oranges, Raiderguy........Apples and Oranges!!
WW's defense earns their stats in the WIAC.  Conference is considered the toughest in the county top to bottom.  I wouldn't expect their stats to hold up to tough teams who have alot of cup cakes in conference. I mean in general, not just the OAC.

These guys started being frequent visitors duing the play-off run last season, as well as the Linfield posters!  Most of them are great guys!
