The reason for the hawks are throwing so much is mostly due to the poor pville pass d.  Last season they gave up 459 yards through the air, looks like more the same this year.

SCORING UPDATE 13:40 4th Qtr: And just like that, WW scores again Jacobs (#4 on the day) to Schmitt 12 yd pass (2nd TD reception).
UWW 42-UWP14.  Drive: 10 plays, 72 yards, TOP 4:45

UWW D takes over and pushes Platteville backwards. Mass substitutions now taking place. One correction Jacobs has 5 TD passes, not 4.

FINAL:  UWW 49 - UWP 21

Final impressions from listening to the radio broadcast -  first half mistake filled by WW, with big plays for both teams. Second half, WW D and O-line took control and wore down Platteville.  No Beaver, no problem - Reuland 18-116, Underwook 11-43, Gorecki 7-21

TEAM (Unofficial) STATS:

                        UWW   UWP
1st downs          28       17
Rush yards        182      34
Pass yards        386     283
Total offense     568     317
Penalties           8-66    9-59

Platteville now 2-2 in WIAC play will take on a 2-2 River Falls Falcons (after defeating Stout today).
WW travels to Texas, for the D3 Game of the Week at UMHB.

Oh, BTW, good job UWL Eagles for bouncing back over EC!!

Is the UWP|WW game over yet? I'M waiting for the UWP rushing stats to show up. They only show 34 yards. That MUST be just in the 1st quarter, cause superdip said UWP would RUN the ball on WW.

GOD BLESS.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

BDB- Any chance you might be coming down for the Nov. 4th game?

uhhhh ... what a game ... sorry superfan .. this was one occasion i needed a couple ...  well im lookin at todays score in pville ... things didnt go as planned .. my only guess is that the warhawks cheated .. like always ... im sure there was something that was against the pioneers .. the moons werent aligned and then it was cloudy so the glare from the white washed paint on the worlds largest M wasnt visible ... HAHA ... back off purple people eaters .. im only kidding ... one can only hope .. from what i heard from the webcast and BoBos updates .. the pioneers did awesome bout 5 out of the 60 minutes of the game ... and failed to take advantage of some turnovers ... in case the coaching staff in whitewater didnt catch those .. they may want to make sure the guys hold on to the ball ... kidding again ... whitewater sounded like they played a sound game both in the air and on the ground ... spreadin the ball all over it seemed more like a scrimmage for them to find the next beaver ... ssooooo .. who's next ... lemme check the schedule here ... aahhhh .. River Falls ... where you at??? ... Nice win today?? .. too bad the pioneers are DUE with you boys ...

BoBo

RalphE - the Pioneers deserve more credit than that!  I think the Pioneers made a a lot more plays offensively than LaX or Oshkosh and probably EC and Point did in crunch time, but they just don't have the enough horses on either side of the ball to stay with WW's talent.  With absolutely no running game to speak of to take time off the clock, the Pioneer defense couldn't keep pace and from my viewpoint, seemed to tire midway through the 3rd quarter.  Keep the faith with these guys. Good Luck next week with River Falls.

Positive Karma to the 750 or 800 UWW Fans including UDUB Fan Club, that sat through a miserable Day. We forced enough turnovers, but did not execute against your defense. Several of your touchdowns were a little lucky. But Coach Chryst always Said: Luck is where preparation and Opportunity meet. Hail to the Warhawks, Choking back my Orange and Blue Tears, I remain A SUPERFAN. My fandom is not dependant on Wins and losses. God Bless!

Thanks Duff for havin' my back. More shots for you!

Thanks footballfan413 for havin' my back as I go with a huge assumption I might be one of those "good guys"

That BW cupcake held us 46 points under the season average today.
Raiders 14  BW 0. BW already beat Augustana this year too.  Some cupcake? They might be considered about 4th best in the conference at this time. The 5/6 th best cupcake just took out the third best today Marietta beat ONU. This is sounding like another conference I know.

A given on the board (which I would acknowledge) is the WIAC is #1 and in that same sentence #2 is the OAC, re Duffs post earlier. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the "cupcake" we opened with in the '02 and '03 seasons right?

My original reason for  the post was in regards to the "greatest come back" in the Stagg Bowl. Somehow IMO, come backs are related to victories.

I really didn't intend the Defensive stats as a direct comparison of the two programs, just an FYI of our two teams. Fun useless facts I call them on the OAC board and you can see the whole comparison there.  Since the teams played are not even the same for this period etc it was just interesting to see the differences between the top ten schools this year VS last.

Out of my respect for WW as the #2 team this year I included them in the comparison even though they were not in the top 10 for stats according to the NCAA. Again no slam........just repect.

I have seen three WIAC games this year so far. I like the conference and the teams, coaches and players. Great competition.

And especially BDB. The President of Menomonie! It's good to have friends in high places.

What's with another 4 pt loss BDB?

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!
