LAX LB

Again can anyone answer this question.  Has UWW lost both its running backs for the year?

Super,

Where are all those Platteville fans who are aching to talk about their team?   So far I count two of you.

Hey, let's talk about Platteville and how many more games they could have won if they would have stuck with the Wing-T instead of going spread back when Emendorfer came into town.  I doubt anyone cares about this question, because it DOESN'T REALLY MATTER, DOES IT?

so cappy ... since when did you become the forum administrator??? .. saying who can talk about what and when??? ... and who are you to say what matters and what doesnt??? ... it is a WIAC forum .. not "whose the warhawks play this weekend" forum ... we all want the warhawks to do well in the playoffs and represent ... no ones trying to steal you precious little thunder there ... maybe you should take up a hobby .. get a little country farm and milk a cow ... give you something to do with your time instead "pounding that rock" of yours ALL THE TIME ... if you were from pville you would of had that rock up out of the ground already to make more room for crops and not damage that expensive planter ...

on the other hand ... i think you brought up a good topic on pvilles switch to the spread back in 99 ... i think it made the WIAC a stronger conference because of it .. it forced teams to prepare for all those receivers and crazy screens ... i believe it gave all the teams a more diversified defense and helped them prepare for teams outside the conference and the playoffs .. whitewater included

Captain: Our offense means something to all UWP fans, just not the UWW Bandwagon chatline! Blessing to all !

Dude, what the hell are you talking about?  You make no sense.  I hate to rip on you Ned Flanners, but you make no sense to me.

Dude, you too.  What the hell are you talking about?  This is an opinionated forum that pertains to WIAC football.  When you bring up non-issues from 2001, I will comment that whatever happened back then doesn't matter right now.  Forum administrator is not in the job title for me.  I never claimed to be.  You seem like a toolbox.

Worth, I know you're reading this. Sure you're not eligable for 2 or 3 more games? Better call Z and give him some anti-fumble drills to run.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

bww .. we only have one computer in pville and we all must take a turn on it ... most people use if for the weather reports so we know when to harvest and when not too ... actually to be honest ... all players and people directly affiliated with the program are asked to stay out of the forum and refrain from giving their comments or they just dont care about your opinion ... many i know do read (shout out to all my homeys back home) ... i myself enjoy the site and the forum and voicin my opinion ... more than likely though we prolly dont have the obsessed fan base that the warhawks have ... and yes theres only two of us but we are strong ... speakin of no fans ... where are fans from the rest of the WIAC ... so far not many comments from anyone else but WW and UWP ... how come no comment on those people BWW????

We're (UWP FANS) here!  We just don't see the sense in talking about a team with three losses getting in to the playoffs.

Only time will tell.

Even if La Crosse loses, it might not matter...as I could easily see only one team coming out of the WIAC if that happens.

Big if.

Expansion of the playoff system would be in order in my opinion, but opinions are like...well, you know.

I do know that some of the teams that will most likely get in are not in any way as good as a third place team in the WIAC, but that doesn't change the fact that they are going to get in.  I imagine there are good teams in other confs. that should get in and wont as well.  It is all a mute point.

Pville crushed COE in their scrimmage, but that wont matter.  Pville beat a good Augustana team.  That wont matter.  The WIAC vs the Concordia team will be a huge mismatch, no matter which WIAC team comes to play.  Concordia will get in.

Pville can't complain...they had their chance vs. La Crosse, coulda shoulda woulda...the ben brothers... ::)

Anyway, we are all going to become Whitewater fans in a couple weeks anyway.  My middle son wrestles for the Warhawks, my oldest plays football for the Pioneers.  I played and wrestled in Pville...so it is hard for me to don the purple...yuck...but I will for the wrestling season...yuck again...then I will wash myself, very well.

just kidding  ;)

Ive been reading this board for years now and I finally decided to start posting.  I'm here to talk about the games so lets get started.  Oshkosh vs. Eau Claire.  Im taking Oshkosh.  Eau Claire has a great receiver in Evenson who they don't use enough on deep balls.  I don't think Eau Claires offense is powerful enough to stick with Oshkosh.  Stevens Point vs. Platteville.  It's nice to see Platteville have a nice season but I'm taking the Pointers in this one.  They have beaten Platteville 15 straight times and that streak won't stop this year.  I think Points 2 overtime wins have them riding high.  La Crosse vs. River Falls.  La Crosse has a lot riding on every game from here on out and I don't see them letting River Falls get one by them.  River Falls is an improved team but La Crosse will be to much.  Im sick of reading about Whitewater but for the Whitewater vs. Stout game.  I would like to see Stout win not that I have anything against Whitewater cause I don't but I like upsets.  But I pick Whitewater to win this one.  One question.  Stout has the best receiver in the conference in Wendt but they don't use him right, whats up with that?  He should be getting 10 catches a game.  Dont understand that one.

Sakman 1111

LAX...Both Beaver and Rueland are currently down(running back and full back)....R. is done for the year and Beaver should be back for the playoffs. Spoke to Beaver in Texas and he appears to be doing fine. Both freshman running backs are freshman but appear very capable. I believe the excellent OLine will create the lanes they need to have great games against Stout and River Falls. POUND THE ROCK!!!!....

Sakman 1111

Let me get this straight.....Wendt is better than Stanley?????.....

ihavesomething2say

yes... I believe he is better than Stanley. Stanley has a quaterback that can get him the ball.  Stout has a quarterback who is a runner not a thrower.  So Wendt doesn't put up the numbers he should.  Stanley is a very close second.

Sakman 1111

Well, you are entitled to your opinion but I can't agree. 4.3--40 yard dash, great hands, and a 40" vertical are hard to beat.....

Stout has had a number of very good recievers the last few years.  Wendt, Sprester, Austin, Vargas and Mattison are just a few.  The problem has been trying to find a consistant good throwing QB to go along with the strong running game and usually very talented O-line.
I may not have much to say, but I'll say it anyway.
