Scrubby, I'd say Bethel would finish third or fourth in our league.

Congratulations to Bethel on giving us everything we wanted, and in our house.

There was some discussion of the desirability of D1AA or D2 football in Wisconsin.  I think that would be a poor use of taxpayer money.  However, we have many fine private D3 programs that could move up if there are all these Wisconsin guys clamoring for scholarships.

I have to think that if Bethel had their Conference Career Rushing Record holding RB, they would have been able to make a better showing!

Bangs is an adequate back-up, but he is by no means on the same level as Porta.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

GO WARHAWKS!!  GET THE PLAYOFFS STARTED WITH A POWER WIN!!
I see a lot of guys made the All WIAC team.  I was especially pleased to see Pete Schmidt make it!!  Met his parents at the Stagg Bowl 2 years ago.  Hope Justin is healing well; but how he could be ready for tomorrow, I don't know.  And I have had both collarbones broken, so I know whereof I speak.
I want to give a shout out to the OLine.  As far as I am concerned, you are the cream of the OLines in the WIAC and the idea that there are other people on that all conference first team whose team is not WW is totally beyond me.  But I might just be a bit prejudiced.   ;D ;D
Kudos to the defense as well.  It takes a whole team, those on the field, those on the sidelines to make it happen.  We want to be playing for a while so give it your best tomorrow!!!  All the best.  Sending out e-brownies of good luck to you.  Remember the brownies at the Stagg Bowl last year--they will be waiting for you this year too.  Do Coach Brez and his whole coaching staff proud!!  I'll be wearing my Whitewater Warhawks Hoodie tomorrow and wishing you a great Saturday of football!!  When you see footballfan413, give that great fan a fabulous game to enjoy!!!

Here's a shout out from Wisconsin to Olinemom.  Thanks for the kind words about Pete and all the UWW players.  What a great group of guys.  They are focused on one game at a time.

By the way, your brownies were incredible.  What a treat!  Hope to see you again.

"Did anyone else notice that MSJ was running the same plays that MUC ran in the playoffs against UWW?  The reverse sweep using the wide out – Muc ran that play using Garcon.  The cross pattern in front of the LB's using a wide out, Muc also did that play using Garson. They also run it with Garson slightly behind the LB's.  The slow developing draw play.  We got fooled on that play as our guys went into pass rush from the outside.  Muc runs that play using a ¾ rotation with the QB facing opposite the line of scrimmage before handing the ball off to the rb.  Kmik ran that play for 90+ yards and a TD as the QB fooled the line into pass rush opening a huge hole.  I was watching the tape of the MUC UWW game last week and it just seemed like deja vu."

Found this posted on the CCIW site.  He was referring to the Wheaton/Mt. St. Joseph's play-off game last weekend.  Thought it was an interesting observation but a painful reminder of how the Hawks didn't get it done last year as well.  It may be dinner time before I get my appetite back.   ;D  Anyway, one game at a time and the Hawks need to take care of business this weekend against the formidible Eagles.  Good luck to the Warhawks and the Wheaton Thunder in the 2nd round!!  ;)  Wow, three cliches in one paragraph.  I may have just beaten my own record!! ;) :D ;D

The loss of SJU to Betel is devastating if you lose on the road in California. you certainly have an overwhelming advantage at home in front of your huge home crowds. God Bless!

Second Round is where things start to get rough......Need to play well against LaCrosse because it won't probably be as easy this time. Firmly believe although if the Warhawks play well there is no team that can beat them. I am certain that many will disagree but if we play well and stay away from mistakes and turnovers the Warhawks will come out on top. Let's get ready to POUND THE ROCK against the Eagles. Long range forecast looks decent so it looks like another great tailgate at the Perk.....

I am not a manager nor do I drive a Dodge Stratus however I did take a few minutes to tally the final numbers in the pick em contest.  Anyone interested can check the pick topic to see how they did.

Congrats to Brian Carroll and Palum who nudged me out by a nose.

So can the Eagles slow down the Hawks running game this time around and make a game of it.

Confirm?

DENY?

Where have you been D O.C.?

Coach Berezowitz is retiring after this season is concluded and the job will be vacant.  Actually he announced that at the beginning of last year's season so it's been well known to all of us.

...and I suppose you'd like to wait until after The Stagg to discuss front runners?

retagent

I see that UW Stout took Whitworth to 2 OT's before losing. Not wanting to disparage Stout, but you didn't have a sparkling season, so it doesn't make Whitworth that strong. Anyone from Stout still hanging around? Come over to the MIAC PP Board and give us your knowledge from that experience.

Personally, I support Stan Zwiefel, the current offensive coordinator.
