Congratulations, Ryan on being a finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy.  It is such an honor to be one of the 10 finalist as it is so much more than an award for the best football player.  It has to do with integrity and community service.  You bring honor to your family, to your team and to your university.  Much good luck this weekend against UWLX! ;D ;D
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Where would BU finish in the WIAC?

I would have to say 2-3.  I would really have liked to see how Porta would have changed that game.  BU put up some pretty impressive running stats even without him.... Mostly coming from their QB if I remember correctly.

Might be one of those things where if they played 10 times it could end up 5-5.  They seem pretty even.

We are with BadgerWarhawk on this one. Z is the man for the job......

I feel it would be a travesty if Z did not get the job.  Expect more big things if (when) he does.

For those closer to the program and in the know, what are his credentials?  Why does everyone think so highly of him?
How much influence do you think Coach Brez will have in the process?  Will it be like Alverez picking his successor in Madison?
Don't you think that considering their recent success, they should have many highly qualified candidates showing interest? I understand there are many former UWW players in head and coordinator coaching positions at various levels that would appear to have the necessary credentials, too.  What are peoples thoughts???

I just hope Z and Borland both stay, no matter who gets the job.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Congratulation to Ryan Kleppe on being selected as one of ten finalists for the 2006 Gagliardi Trophy recognizing the top fooball player in NCAA Division III football.  The honor couldn't go to a more deserving person.  What a great representative for the WIAC and UWW football.

I have had the pleasure to watch Ryan grow up and play football with my son through youth football, high school football and now in college.  He truly is a dominating player.   But even more important, he is an outstanding young man.  Congrats Ryan...

Now... take care of business on Saturday.  Go Hawks!!

Cody Childs of UWSP named to the Aztec Bowl.  Any other WIAC players invited?  (I'm sure the loser of the UWW/UWL game will pick up one or two invites.)

More accurately, I should have said the game between UWW and UWL can be seen over the internet for free  ;D

I can't imagine anyone being more deserving of this award.  Ryan is everything that you could hope for in a Scholar Athlete.  With a GPA of over 3.85, a selfless attitude and a true comitment to helping others he is a pleasure to know and be around.

The radio crew with Gary and Glen are great. The Penn Atlantic internet feed is from the UWW student television broadcast...the announcers are not so good...too much of plays getting "blown up" or players "blowing up" a play...may be best just to watch without the sound on  ;)

Got to be a tough decision for Coach B to play Beaver.  Hard to imagine that broken bone being completely healed.  With the rivalry and knowledge of each other's team..this could be the upset special of the weekend.
