The Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater has just posted a blog about Ryan Kleppe being named a finalist for the Gagliardi award.  It gives a more in-depth look at the great defensive player.  Check it out at UWW.edu.

UWW does a good job broadcasting their games. i have listened to them several times a year . God Bless!

The radio crew with Gary and Glen are great. The Penn Atlantic internet feed is from the UWW student television broadcast...the announcers are not so good...too much of plays getting "blown up" or players "blowing up" a play...may be best just to watch without the sound on  ;)

I watched the Azuza game this year and the EC game last year over the internet.  You're right about the announcers, but let's emphasize they are students learning the business and doing ok.  I thought the "sideline" reporting was the area that may be best to watch without the sound.  The graphics work was pretty good, while the camera work was ok, although they showed too many shots of the crowd/cheerleaders at the expense of the next play.
All that said, it is great service that they can bring games to the people that can't get to the game in person, and now esp. a play-off game.  Someone needs a pat on the back for this one!!

Interesting comments from Florida Coach Urban Meyer concerning the possibility of THE Ohio State University and Michigan playing a second game,
this time in the national championship game:

Florida coach Urban Meyer watched nearly every snap of the Michigan-Ohio State game and heard all the subsequent talk about a rematch.
He was adamant it shouldn't happen.
"I think that'd be unfair to Ohio State and I think it'd be unfair to the country," Meyer said Sunday. "Just don't believe that's the right thing to do. You're going to tell Ohio State they have to go beat the same team twice, which is extremely difficult?"

What if a rematch happens?

"If that does happen, all the (university) presidents need to get together immediately and put together a playoff system," Meyer said. "I mean like now, January or whenever to get that done."

Maybe someone needs to send a message to Coach Meyer and tell him that
even with a playoff system, 2 teams from the same conference or 2 teams that have already played are undoubtedly going to meet again to determine a champion.  In his logic, the game this Sat is unfair to UWW.  They shouldn't have to play UWL again on their way to the Stagg Bowl berth.

Good point, if we had a real playoff system, similar to BB in Division 1, we might have even more of this. Look at how many times teams from the same conference get into the Final 4. Blessings!

My congratulations to Ryan Kleppe on his Gagliardi nomination.  What a tremedous honor for a tremedous young man.  No one deserves it more.

Prepare for a battle on Saturday, Warhawks.  Execute, focus and minimize penalties.  Can't give the Eagles anything. Send them home for the season with a decisive loss again and show them that Perkins Stadium is and always be, "OUR HOUSE!"    Enjoy your turkey today, boys, because on Saturday.............Eagle is on the menu!! ;D

Happy Turkey Day to all posters, players and fans and safe travels for the holiday and this weekend's games.

GO WARHAWKS.................GO WARHAWKS..........................GO WARHAWKS

Hello, everyone.  I've been lurking through here all season long, and finally decided to sign up to wish the Warhawks GOOD LUCK on Saturday.

Sounds like it's going to be a dandy fall day to go to a football game - and that's just what I plan to do.  Saw the game when the Hawks won in the 2nd round over St John's last year - let's do it again to LaCrosse.

"Pound the Rock!!" :)
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

If there was a playoff system, two teams from the same conference would have to beat the other worthy teams to meet in the final game.

I don't know if i'd look past a pretty good Wesley team, and a certain team from Texas that gave us all we could handle the first time.  The outcome of this weekends game by no means decides a participant in the Stagg Bowl.

not to mention that UMHB and HSU had to play each other in the opening round which was really unfortunate.  Neither of them deserved to have to do that.  They should have had games with lower seeds like everybody else.  Oh well, . . .$$$$$  Having said this, WW you need to keep an even keel and get the job done.  OLINERS :) :), you are the best in the WIAC and several other conferences combined, so protect your man and let him lead the offense down the field.  The Defense led by Ryan Kleppe (kudos!!!!) and AJ Raebel and many others, harrass the other offense so they can't be effective on offense.  The DEFENSE has to be at its best tomorrow.  I have faith that you will be.  ;D ;D

GO WARHAWKS  GO!!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!
