"The only way UWW gets even remotely close to 21 pts in the half let alone the game is if SJU puts the ball on the ground as often as they did last year."

Well, considering that 5 of the last years 7 fumbles were forced, it could happen!  8)

And I am sure you are right.  None of the players EVER read these boards!!! ???

I guess UWW "students" have more free time.  When I played, I didn't waste my time with this BS.

Ok, that does it. We are going to have to settle this on Saturday in the parking lot, man to man. I challenge your oldest tailgater to a drooling contest.

Flash, this one is classic!  :D

With a GPA of 3.85 and as an all conference scholar-athlete, I would say he could hold his own with a bunch of board posters.  He has a much better chance of  the Gagliardi award than any of the St. Johns players.  Oh wait there are none!!

A good point was brought up, it may not be a good idea to tick Kleppe off.  Could be dangerous to a quarterback's health.

J flash - You're killing me. I had to go change my depends.

I know it's popular to compare scores and try to figure out what's going to happen in any given game, but it's really an execise in futility. Examples are legion. SJU holds Mt Union to 10 and 6 points in their last two Stagg meetings. Teams that were averaging around 40 pts/game if my memory serves. Heck, UWW got only 7 in their meeting with UMHB. So far in the playoffs, both UMHB opponents have at least tripled that total. I would dare to guess that you would think that UWW has a much better offense than those teams - as would I. St Norbert gets 17 against the Warhawks. Do they have a better "O" than UMHB? Each game is an entity unto itself, and very little is gained by these comparisons.

Yeah neither did I.... well then there was the fact the internet wasn't available in the late 80"s either, that might of had something to do with it ;D

How old is this guy, anyways?

Probably the same age as this guy:

So they'll match up well ;D

don't make me pull out my 1988 player photo with the mullet :P

Don;t get my hopes up if you're not going to follow through.

It's going to be a while. I have to get home first and dig through my "box of crap" as my wife calls it and then scan the pic on the computer.  All of my stuff is old school (real kodak memories). ;)

So, Duff, how many many times were you nominated for the Gagliardi?

Honestly, this is what you come up with?  So much for not living in the past.

Duffman's eligibility has been spent for a few years, I doubt he has much effect on Saturday's game.  (Or Saturday's tailgate, as he apparently thinks work is more important than football.  Talk about skewed priorities...)

Retagent, I also agree with you that each game has a life of it's own. St.John's team on paper doesn't appear to be as good as last year to me and Whitewater appears to be a better team.....does that mean it will be a blowout----Not Really. I don't believe any team can beat the Warhawks if they play well on both sides of the ball. I believe we have a very good defense, some awesome impact players, and the best OLine in D3. St. Johns appears to be improved on offense but not as good on defense as last year in my opinion.....I hope for a Warhawk victory but realize St.Johns is more than capable of the upset. POUND THE ROCK!!FLUSH THE JOHNS!!..

Zero.  Yup, Kleppe is a better d-lineman than I was, and I will freely admit that.  I'm sure he could kick my ass, too.  He also can probably eat more than I can, and I'll be he could even organize a better game of kickball ;)  I don't really see the relevance, though.

I'll wager that I had a better 4-year team record, though ;)  47-9 overall :)  Afterall, team success trumps individual accolades in my book.

The same number of times the Warhicks have won a national championship?
