So, Duff, how many many times were you nominated for the Gagliardi?

Zero.  Yup, Kleppe is a better d-lineman than I was, and I will freely admit that.  I'm sure he could kick my ass, too.  He also can probably eat more than I can, and I'll be he could even organize a better game of kickball ;)  I don't really see the relevance, though.

That would be my point.  I don't see the relevance of going after a Gags Finalist but you and KR did it anyway.  Honestly, it really is beneath both of you.  I have found you guys to be really fun, witty and knowledgable posters most of the time but personal attacks on such an accomplished young man on the field and in the classroom really doesn't reflect well on you, your school or your legendary coach for which the award is named after.

Sorry if that sounds too much like an old man wrist-slapping some errant school boys but it is just MHO.

J flash - You're killing me. I had to go change my depends.

I know it's popular to compare scores and try to figure out what's going to happen in any given game, but it's really an execise in futility. Examples are legion. SJU holds Mt Union to 10 and 6 points in their last two Stagg meetings. Teams that were averaging around 40 pts/game if my memory serves. Heck, UWW got only 7 in their meeting with UMHB. So far in the playoffs, both UMHB opponents have at least tripled that total. I would dare to guess that you would think that UWW has a much better offense than those teams - as would I. St Norbert gets 17 against the Warhawks. Do they have a better "O" than UMHB? Each game is an entity unto itself, and very little is gained by these comparisons.

UMHB defense didn't give up 27, their offense gave up 14 of it.

I never claimed that SJU defense was slow, just that they are slower (by a good margin) than UMHB.  SJU may be above average for team speed, but that team from TX is crazy fast.

How old is this guy, anyways?

His age is almost twice his IQ which is ironically twice his ACT score which is ironically his shoe size;D

You are right, not a personal attack.  Must have been meant as a compliment.  ;)

Good thing to have that delete button, isn't it, Chris.   ;D

I'll wager that I had a better 4-year team record, though ;)  47-9 overall :)  Afterall, team success trumps individual accolades in my book.

You would lose that wager.... DO THE MATH!!!!

Kleppe 40-7 = 85.1 win percentage

You 47-9 = 83.9 win percentage

You don't talk to me like that.....I drive......I drive a Dodge Stratus!!!

Funny how I make a prediction that Whitewater wins the game 34 - 17, and my karma gets knocked.  Then I say some nice things about St. John's and my karma goes up.  Well, I like you Johnnies, but enough with the verbal blow jobs though.  Get ready for the stomp.

How about this:

Duff: 3-time national semifinalist and 1-time national runner up (12-4 in playoffs)
Kleppe: 1-time national runner up (6-1 in playoffs).

Regardless of what happens this year, Duff will have more playoff wins than Kleppe.

You had quoted Duffman, so I was refering to Duffmans post questioning his age, which I didn't view as a personal attack.  You had said that both Duff and KR had personally attacked Kleppe.

Exactly!   ;D  In all honesty, Kleppe is quite deserving of his nomination, especially since he is one of the two nominees still playing.

Looking at the box score from last year's game, where yardage was similar, if SJU comes to play and UWW shows up, it should be a game.  If UWW plays their minds out like they seemed to last year (forcing fumbles, interceptions, making fingertip catches), I think the Warhawks could squeak by...

Kubiack- MY DAD can (probably) beat up your mom.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

I stand corrected. Duff's posting of Kleppe's picture and comment was surely meant to be a good thing.   ??? ???  I agree with Kubiak, lets drop it and move on.   And my mom can beat up AND outdrink all of yours!  ;D

We shall move forward then, unlike Michael Richard's comic career.
