Great game Warhawks.

Congrats to UWW.  You played well enough to win today.  It was a ridiculously exciting game and I think it could have gone either way.  UWW was able to capitalize on our turnovers, which won the game for them, but I think everyone has to admit that SJU gave them a solid run for the money.

It was fun bickering with you guys this week.  Most of you were very good sports.  Good luck next week!

Whew!  The Warhawks will need to do better against Wesley next week. Before this poster switched over  he caught a good chunk of the first half of UMHB-Wesley and the early part of that game UMHB's run was virtually stopped cold. Wesley also broke a couple of big pass plays, too. :-X :-\

Congrats to the purple. Made the big plays when they needed to. Great game both sides.

I'd almost forgotten how classy padmofu was ....

Well, SJU boys, be proud of your team.  You kept the Warhawks under 21 just like you said.  But, a good effort has gone for not. It was a good game, but with 1 missed FG on each side, the difference was the turn-overs esp. the INT when the Johnnies were poised to take the lead that changed the dynamics of this game. The video feed was great, let's have it again next week!!  Congrats to the Warhawks having just enough to pull this one out.  Good luck next week.

Seems like the biggest play of the game was that INT return. Not just the actual pick. Like the SJU announcers said, if they could have tackled him where he caught it WW would have been stuck deep in their own territory. Instead he returned it nearly 80 yards, setting up the score that made it 17-7.

99 yards on the ground for UWW.  Good job by the SJU defense.

Yup!  That would've been big, even with the TO.

Turnovers, Turnovers................ SJU did what it needed to do to win.  They shut down Beaver and the WW offense.  However, WW make the big plays when they need to and they didn't turnover the ball.   That is the sign of a good team.  It was a better game then I expected.  Good luck against Wesley.

BoBo

Whitewater tried hard to hand this one to the Johnnies with all the penalties, but the game ultimately gets decided by only a couple plays here and there - turnovers.

Almost 36 minutes TOP for SJU, 24 minutes for WW.

13 Penalties for WW, 4 for the Johnnies.

SJU was 8-19 on 3rd down conversions and 2-4 on fourth down conversions.

How did WW win this game?  WW's defense is the hero of this game.  Made the big stops when it needed.

Agreed.  For as many trips as we made to the redzone, we came away with far too few points.  The Warhawks were able to tighten up with their backs against the wall.  I was very impressed with your LBs...again.

Congrats to the Warhawks.  They made just enough plays to win, taking advantage of the Johnnie turnovers and not allowing the Johnnies to take any turnovers of their own.  It was a fun game, and SJU had every chance to win, but UWW earned this one.  Congrats and represent the West Region well.  Go Whitewater!  Beat Wesley!

WOW!  I guess both MUC and WW had huge tests/scares today.  One more to go for each, and then Round II is ON!

I think we both have all we can handle next week in the semi's.

Yeah, I will fully admit that I was off on the prediction.  I think field conditions had a little to do with the low score for both sides.  I'll give credit where credit is due... the SJU defense came out fired up, and stuffed our offense on the first couple posessions.... and held them in check for the majority of the day.

RYAN KLEPPE.... the kid flat out changed the entire game again today.  Came up with huge plays when the mattered.

A 10 minute drive to start the 2nd half for SJU ending in a TO was huge.

Congrats on the season to SJU, hopefully we can bring the trophy back to the WEST.

Been fun jabbing back and forth with you guys, hopefully we can do it again at some point next year.  Take care.
