U DUB, DUB.
I wouldn't even put Lacrosse in the same class as the Johnnies. The eagles lost and congratulated us and then left us alone. The Johnnies are still crying over the fact that they lost. Worse then that they are complaining about things that didn't even happen on the field.
Stop crying Johnnies, your season is over because the Warhawks got it done on the field. I am not the brightest bulb in the bunch, however you  might have won if you just threw the all to your real tallWR as our DB's were much shorter then he was. However you didn't and you Losy.
SO GET OVER IT ENJOY WATCHING THE HAWKS BRINGING BACK THE STAGG BOWL TROPHY BACK TO THE WEST,
Stop in your tracks right there.  We have got to stop Wesley before EVEN THINKING ABOUT THE STAGG BOWL.  You are already thinking ahead.  Not much of a football connaisseur.  You just don't do that.  Don't jinx our team that way.  You are a loose canon and not helping getting ready for the game of the season which is the only game we can count on>the game on Saturday.  When are we going to be able to discuss this game and not some past history, expletive deleted or not, immature rantings.  Wesley is coming to town.  And if you think we are going to send them packing like last year, you're in for a big surprise.  I know our guys aren't treating them that lightly.  If, however, they play like they have played in the last 2 weeks, there will be NO STAGG BOWL appearance by a West team. PERIOD
Let's get on target for the game that matters!!  What say you, Bobo, Footballfan413 and others.  Where are the posters who talk football, not trash? :) ;) :D ;D  Oh, and I just finished giving all my exams so my students can concentrate on studying for the rest of their exams as exam period begins on Friday!! ;D ;D

Our team?  I thought you were a Bridgewater fan Olinemom?
who got my brownies last year at the Stagg?  WW.  I have several teams I'm partial to including Whitewater, Linfield and UMHB to name the ones I follow week in and week out.  I've been keeping tabs on Mount Union as well.  Once you've met players and fans of teams, you enlarge your frame of reference.  Not large enough for all teams.  But I'm not going there.  This is Coach Brez's last home game.  I say we discuss this game and not the useless mutterings over past chants.  Bryan Robinson was a gigantic figure in last week's game against UMHB.  Pat Cummings knows what he is talking about.  Wesley used him and another Dguy on offense as well and what a massive front that was.  They  had a qB with a great arm who can throw the deep bomb and the receivers who seem to catch anything that comes their way.  I want WW (my team this Saturday as it was last Saturday at the Perk and the week before)  Check back through this board.  You will see my posts have been here since the beginning of the season if not before.  Not in the summer because I had a fall and broke my left arm and shoulder and was out of commission and last week a brick wall jumped up and bit my face.  But between those accidents, I'm on a bunch of boards because I have friends on these boards and I want the teams to do well!  And I send my friends' brownies, don't I?
Rats, have to go back to school for a meeting.  Have brownies, will go to meeting. ;D ;D ;D
One more note:  my favorite people on these teams?  You guessed it, the OLINERS!!  And WW has a tremendous OLINE this year!!  How else could JB and his replacements get anywhere or JJ even throw to PETE or NICK or KEVIN.   But if BC were still in it, I'd have to say they are my #1 team which you knew and I imagine that everybody else knows as well.  Now are you coming to the Stagg Bowl and enjoy the tailgating at Stone Station?  We are planning a big gig there all day until the opening kickoff!!
:) ;) :D ;D

+KARMA to you olinemom for reminding us on the WIAC board what the focus of this week should be for all of us!  Last year has no bearing on the game this Saturday with one exception, Wesley will be looking for payback and from what it sound like, they have the goods to bring it!  I don't believe that the players and the coaching staff are over looking anyone, though.  They must all step up their game if they are to play past Saturday.  I agree that if the mistakes of the last 2 weeks are repeated, it will be the last game of the season. Believe and focus, Hawks.  The best brownies await at Stone Station.

I believe that every week the UWW defense has the ability to keep us in games, whether it be shutting down the run or coming up with goal-line stands, what ever it takes.  On offense, I've been wondering, why aren't the Hawks throwing the ball to Derek Stanley more?  I mean, I would love to see him get 15 touches of the ball on saturday.  I don't care how, but let him make plays.  Let him return punts, kicks, throw a 5 yard curl, but I would like the Hawks to get him the ball.

Some brownies in Stone Station sure sound good.  I'm hopin!!!

GO HAWKS!!!

An e-mail has been sent to all students at WW from the AD.  The e-mail notifies students of prizes that will be awarded to fans who show the most enthusiastic "POSITIVE" "SPORTSMANSHIP".  Those two words are bolded in the e-mail.

It states that the WW cheerleading squad as well as speical spotters will be going around throughout the game and handing out prizes to those fans who are showing positive sportsmanship.

I think that this is a good move by our AD.  It shows that he is trying to encourage positive behavior without coming in with an iron fist and risking the chance of detiring students from coming to the game.  Overall it's good to try to take action in a postive manner.

Watching the games, it seems he's had a case of the dreaded dropitis - seems to have lingered much of the season (like a turf toe can).  Let's be honest, he hasn't played like the all-world WR of late.  They seem to be throwing to him, he just hasn't been able to make the grabs.  The camera last week showed him taking himself out of the game following a dropped pass, looking at his hands and shaking his head.

Its funny you mention turf toe cause that is something that stanley has also had a majority of the season..  Dont know if you were hinting at it just wanted to throw it out there

Is "statistically" the key word in that sentence?  Kleppe seems to make plays that shift the momentum of the game.  Not looking at his stats, the people from SJU knew he changed the game.  SJU came out and took the momentum from the start, and Kleppe's first sack took that momentum away from them.

Other question I would have is how is Robinson's motor?  Like I said before I've only seen him once in pretty bad weather.  It seemed to me like if the play didn't come right at him he had plays he gave up on.  Is this normal behavior or part of the conditions of that game?

 uww0212

Robinson was dominating. They tried to run away from him and he chased them down then they tried to run at him and bottled up the line so the other defenders could make plays. And he had the QB looking for him every play.

I will say this the first  couple of games of the season he looked like he was taking his ability for granted. He took a few plays off. He looked dogged. Granted he was double and triple teamed on every play. I personally think he was not in the best of shape then. But has been making plays all over the field. He has made tackles on the other side of the field aftyer chasing runnners down.

Is he better than Kleppe? I can't say. But is he one of the best in DIII? I believe he is.

Thanks for the info,

I don't mean to call him out for dogging plays... I haven't seen enough of him to say that or have ever heard that.  In the game last year against us it just seemed like he became frustrated and took a few plays off.  I guess it's hard to blame a kid when your down 40 and in 10 degree snowy weather, but still not something you want to see.

"Is he one of the best in DIII?"   I agree that he is as well.

I think he has matured this year to where he knows he is good but that he isn't satisfied with just being good. I get to about 4 games a year and he has gone from showing signs of above average play to playing above average every down.
I haven't seen Kleppe so  can only go by what I am told and that is that  Kleppe is great too.
