Hail to the Warhawks for playing well in the clutch and beating SJU! No kudos to the Student Section. I commented earlier in the season about their conduct against Lacroose and got nothing but negative karma. Glad that I am not the only one to see this. Positive karma to the administration at UWW for addressing this issue! As a former student at UWW for 2 years, we never acted this way in the 70 s. Free Speech is allowed, but it has consequences. God Bless everyone, and good luck to both teams this Saturday.

With that said, here's a topic for debate.  Who would you rather having playing on the d-line for your team: Ryan Kleppe or Bryan Robinson?

Definitly B Rob, he's a beast OMG! I feel for any QB thats line up across from him, I hurt for them. My choice maybe bias but just tellin what I know
Look #28 got your ball, GO WESLEY!!!

On offense, I've been wondering, why aren't the Hawks throwing the ball to Derek Stanley more?  I mean, I would love to see him get 15 touches of the ball on saturday.  I don't care how, but let him make plays.  Let him return punts, kicks, throw a 5 yard curl, but I would like the Hawks to get him the ball.

Watching the games, it seems he's had a case of the dreaded dropitis - seems to have lingered much of the season (like a turf toe can).  Let's be honest, he hasn't played like the all-world WR of late.  They seem to be throwing to him, he just hasn't been able to make the grabs.  The camera last week showed him taking himself out of the game following a dropped pass, looking at his hands and shaking his head.

Its funny you mention turf toe cause that is something that stanley has also had a majority of the season..  Dont know if you were hinting at it just wanted to throw it out there

warhawkexpress - Sort of doing both because when he is on (and Jacobs is delivering the ball well) he seems to catch most balls with his hands and in stride, either clearly beaten his defender or breaks away with his great speed after making the catch.  Or, near the goal, he runs the fade route, Jacobs puts the ball only where he can get it due to his superior leaping ability. In recent games, when he catches the ball, it appears he uses his body more and is down or going down to catch the ball (when he doesn't drop it).  Sure, where Jacobs throws the ball determines where he needs to go get it. But, in the past few games he doesn't seem to have the seperation speed he showed earlier or the ability for substantial YAC. Long story, short, he's as valuable to the warhawks as anybody. Of course, they have other guys catching the ball very well & being difference makers (Mrkvica, Douglas, Gifford), but Stanley needs to be playing at 100% and acting like the #1.

OLINEMOM,

I believe you saved some brownies for the Purple Raiders as well, right?

Absolutely  both teams at the Stagg Bowl got brownies from me!  And the fans did too.  And the media did as well.  But Coach Brez brought me a WW hoodie.  Now I have a wonderful personally signed picture from Coach Kehres which I treasure.  So I try to be fair.  But you usually pick a team to root for and it's WW so far this playoff season.  I know that MUC will be in Salem and I look forward to seeing Seventiesraider and Kevin, Theaprof, Skunks_sidekick and Nate Kmic and PIERRE GARCON.  Quel joueur de football américain!!  I remember those 2 from last year.  That Kmic run reminded me of the run (just from the opposite side of the field) that beat us in 2001  by Chuck Moore who I then got to see on the Jay Leno show.  Nice business / accounting major if memory serves me right.  But he caught one of my Jason"s passes (he had the worst day I have ever seen him play!!) and we lost by 3.  And no I don't want to talk about the next time we met up in Alliance.  Yes I was there and I was frozen INSIDE AND OUT.  With the exception of a few students (and everybody has them, even us!!) everybody was gracious the whole weekend!!  E-brownies this weekend.  Will you be basking in the warmth as you a)listen to the game in Alliance and / orb) watch the internet feed from WW? ;D ;D

Didn't forget Pete Schmitt, Olinemom.  Just was thinking about the WR's.  You are right, though, he's a BIG target who WW needs to step up in the BIG games, too.

Well, I did kind of realize that, but I had to put forth my favorite pass catcher who is part of the OLINE, you know how partial I am to those guys--the reason for any scoring unless the defense steps in and plucks something from the sky or from a player from the other team. ;D ;D

Pete Schmitt is definitely a big part of the UWW offense.  I love it when Pete finds the hole in a zone 10-15 yards down field.  He definitely adds another dimension to the offense.

Would it be safe to assume that one needs a broadband connection to receive the radio and video feeds for the Internet broadcasts?  I recently moved from Whitewater to the extreme northwoods of Wisconsin and have only dial-up available to me. >:(

Depends on your connection speed.  You may be able to get the Web-Radio broadcast, but the video will probably be real choppy.  But it is free, so you can try it and kill it if it doesn't work...

Also, some of the satellite companies (DirecTV, DishNetwork) have Satellite ISP service, but don't know if that is an option for you or not.

It's an added bonus when he holds onto the ball trying to pick up additional YAC!!

It all starts with calling his number or the QB finding him.  Saw some lost opportunities the last few games.  He's been open IMHO.

I want to thank the Oline mom for her positive attitude. how could I ever say anything negative about her. She brings out the best in our posters. Blessings!
