Would it be safe to assume that one needs a broadband connection to receive the radio and video feeds for the Internet broadcasts?  I recently moved from Whitewater to the extreme northwoods of Wisconsin and have only dial-up available to me. >:(

In your case AncientHawk I'd just look for the smoke signals....  ;D

Thanks DustySJU,

I'll see if one of the local tribes can accomodate me.

Here's a note -- when you change your registration to a fake e-mail address it cuts off your access to the board. The software is smarter than that.

Whitewater has to be a pretty heavy favorite this week.  What happened in last years game allowing the blow-out?  Anyone know if the video stream from the Johnnie vs WW game can be played-back?

Pat,

Here's the story and it gets a bit confusing so please bear with me.  I am/was oldhawk.  When I origainally tried to register for this site, I registered as oldhawk using the email address that you feel is fake.  I awaited the email registration verification from you folks, but it never made it to my inbox, or any of the filtered boxes(junk, bulk, etc).  You may even recall that I emailed you an inquiry about my status.  I figured it was some sort of snafu with outlook express.    so in continuing my quest for registration, I registered as ancienthawk using my wife's yahoo email account.  The attempted change of email address in the ancienthawk profile was done so that people who wanted to email me direct could do so.   NOW I see that my oldhawk account has mysteriously activated(again, I wasn't aware of this fact).  Please believe me when I say that I wasn't making any type of attempt to do anything wrong here.  If I remain registered as oldhawk, there is now no reason to have the ancienthawk account and therefore can be deleted if you wish.  Sorry if I caused any type of concern or problem.
You can't have everything.....Where would you put it?

There was the weather issue, but that had little to do with the outcome more how big of a blow out it was.  The biggest thing is that physically the Wesley team is just not tough enough to hang with the hawks, don't get me wrong they have some great athletes but just like last year i would expect the hawks to physically pound this Wesley team.

That should have read, "I am/was ancienthawk."   I'm so confused ???

Gotcha. When you sent me e-mail about oldhawk I activated it. But your e-mail's server rejected my e-mail telling you about it.

The yahoo address bounced, just so you know. That's why you couldn't change to that address.

Clownshow I don't know about the toughness issue I do know from being at the game last year Wesley was totally unprepared for the weather(proper shoes) and by the 4th quarter they had given up.....lineman were just standing up and receivers were barely running their routes. As for their supporters if there were 50 that was a lot and the Warhawk side was loud and packed except for one section where the snow was piled. This year I expect it to be a totally different game and Wesley to be a totally different team. They like the Warhawks have excellent impact players with very good speed ......they have areas to be exploited and I am certain they will try to go after our secondary. Really should be very different than last year but if the Warhawks play well on both sides of the ball as I have said before I don't think there is a team that can beat them.......Let's face it we haven't played that great in a few weeks and now is the time to step it up. POUND THE ROCK OLINE.....STOMP THE WOLVERINES!!!!!.....

WIAC09

Is anyone concerned about WW lack of offense the last two games.  Jacobs has appeared flustered and not completing a good percentage of his passes.  Also they have stuggled to find ways to get stanley the ball.  Just wondering how everyone can be so confident.  When Wesley just put up 34 on UMHB, a team WW couldn't score an offensive TD against.

KitchenSink

I'm absolutely concerned.  I have hopes that the Hawks will bust out of this mini-funk with a monster game - but there's this little nagging voice I hear ...

If Beaver gets going on the ground, we can mix in the pass and life should be good.  The D needs to keep stepping up and keep the clamps on that potent offense.

Weather a factor?  It'll be cold but not outrageously so.  Windy might work in our favor.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

I really wish people would stop underestimating my boys.  Wesley can hang with anyone, they wouldn't be in the semis if they couldn't.  Every one keeps talkin about last year this and last year that well last year was last year and that mess won't be happening this year.  Its too close of a call to say who will definitly be victorious saturday but may the best team win.  Wolverines keep on truckin to the Stagg, see you in Salem.
Look #28 got your ball, GO WESLEY!!!

Keep talking about the offense being not as productive and against St.Johns I agree but St.Johns had a lot to do with it. Versus LaCrosse we had 464 yards worth of offense. 206 ON THE GROUND AND THE REST IN THE AIR. That is pretty acceptable in my book. Last year we had quite a few more things in our favor----8 Johnnie turnovers and Wesley might as well have been playing in loafers. These are all better teams this year and we are not going to score 60 points a game on them. Let's get real but I do agree we need to POUND THE ROCK.....GO WARHAWKS!!!!.....

For the most part I agree with Sakman about the offense. I think some of it, I hate to say it, might be the play calling. But that's why I'm a fan and not a coach. They (the coaching staff) know more about the plays and players than the fans, but the last few weeks it seems as though once we get up 10-7 or 17-7, we are content and don't want to put teams away.

But then again, St. John's and LaCrosse were well prepared.

We NEED to get the ball in Stanley's hands. The problem has been these past few weeks is that STanley is running 20-25 yard routes in double coverage. There needs to be some calls where he does a simple slant route or 0 route, or even a comeback route (since the DB's are playing the bomb), just to make sure the ball is in his hands. He's dangerous whenever he gets it. It's nice to see him returning kickoffs again, too, not that Jordan Wells didn't do an outstanding job back there either.

Dogfish offer still stands.  Since I will be one of the few Wesley fans coming to the game, I would like to offer up four (4) official Dogfish Head t-shirts (2 adult - large & xl, 2 women's cut - med & large) for a mixed 12 pack of Point Beer, emphasis on mixed.  I was just at the brewery today, and Sam the owner wishes all beer drinkers in WI well!

Any takers???

I'm with you lilpeds...
I would like to see Stanley get a couple slot screens too.  Where Stanley is in the slot and gets the pass towards the sidelines, and the outside WR blocks down.  Again, anything to get the ball in his hands.

Also, is there any chance we see Stanley play some DB?
