Congrats to Warhawks in what turned out to be a total rout. Yikes.

It will be final home game to remember for Coach Berezowitz, and the All Purple Stagg next week should be a great one.

38-0 at half, are you kidding me?  How does Wesley come out of the South two years in a row.  Is the South just that  bad?  Good Luck WW next week, bring it back to the West.

Kmic ended up with 371 yards. SJF was an excellent team but Mount's D came up big when needed.

Did Wesley have a lot of turnovers?

Should be a fun week!

Congrats UWW.  Bring the title back to the West!!
Go Johnnies!!!

Better luck next year Wesley but thanks for that funny joke today- coming into whitewater and pretending to play football and all. We all enjoyed a good laugh. Good luck to the warhawks in the stagg bowl. Let's hope we have a better understanding of what we're up against this time around! GO WARHAWKS!

Way to go, Warhawks.  That was a monkey stomp.

I was just speechless watching Wesley play.  They were so dominated - UWW made some D statements early, then got a bounce or two early (thank you, Mr. Goal post).  Well, then, it was Katie bar the door.

I kept listening for Wesley's Robinson's name to be called making tackles after hearing about his play - then I heard it all of once during the game.  UWW line was great.

Just gonna have to go over to Salem now.  This time it's Our Turn!
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

KitchenSink

Oh, and the cannon was heard before the game, at halftime, and then after the game.

After the scores, the students were yelling "Boom!!"  Well done, students.

The students yelled "boom" after each score? That is tooo funny. Ha. Good one, and I tip my cap to them for being creative.

Congrats to the Warhawks. You 've worked hard this season for a return trip to Virginia. Celebrate tonight - have a glass or two of egg nog, perhaps?  ;) But starting tomorrow there's a lot of work to do this coming week, gentlemen, so let's get that done. And then finish the job on Saturday!

Good luck, and keep it rolling....

Back home after the game and sorry for going nuts over the cannon issue ....lost control on that issue which I shouldn't have. As for the game it was the first time in a few games that the Warhawks put together an offensive and defensive quality effort against a ranked opponent and it was what is called in Whitewater a Monkey Stomping. As for the debate as to who is better Robinson or Kleppe I can only point out that Kleppe was double and triple teamed all day and Whitewater offensive tackles handled Robinson one on one....and I mean handled. Now back to Virginia and the bar at the Marriott Courtyard and simply another great time

Correction Bryan was Doubled teamed all game not one on one
Look #28 got your ball, GO WESLEY!!!

Sakman 1111

Alright I won't get in an argument again .....but the three times he moved to go over the left side he was practically pushed out of bounds by our left tackle and only our left tackle....I am certain he is a great player but there is just as good if not better in the WIAC.......

Official defensive stats are here  http://www.uww.edu/athletics/mfootball/statistics/playoff4.htm#GAME.DEF

Robinson 3 assists .5 TFL/0 yards
Kleppe  3 solo

Seems both teams O-line did a good job on each of them, one-on-one, double or tripled teamed.

Back from "the perk" for the second time ever. As a CCIW guy I watched the Johnnis last week and wesley this week. Also got to see MUC this year so have a good feel for this Stagg.

From the UWW game:

-I have to assume Wesley is a much better team than we have seen given their results this season. But the Wesley team I saw at UWW was not a top 10 team. They have some great athletes (their frosh rb and the two safeties were very impressive) but they played really poorly. Particularly the QB. his interceptions were all horrible throws. UWW should have had at least 2 more ints.
-I was really disappointed w Bryan Robinson. He is physically a stud but today he looked like he did not want to be there. He was rarely double teamed, was slow off the ball, leaned on blockers and loafed on the back side pursuit of plays. He aslo walked off the field after every possession when his teammates all ran off. When he was on the ground he usually laid there for several seconds before getting up.
-#4 for wesley (db) is a stud but he missed 2 interceptions. On  UWW's second td ( a post to stanley in the north endzone) #4 was a cover 2 safety and the ball went right past his head into stanley's arms. there wasn't another reciever on that side, if he had put his hands up it would have been at least deflected.  he also dropped an int in his hands when the ww qb slipped while throwing a long pass and it was underthrown to #4.
-whitewater's offense was night and day better than last week. they opened it up the way they should have vs ST John's. I don't know why they didn't throw it down the field more last week like they did today. the warhawk qb played really well.
-Kleppe's stats were not nearly as good as last week but don't let that fool you, he was still a monster in the middle. I was more impressed with the warhawk linebackers this week.

A dominating win by UWW today. I really don't understand wesley. they obviously had great athletes on the field but they didn't come to play today.

usee - having seen WW twice now and Mount once, what would be your preliminary analysis of the Stagg Bowl?

I'm really tired of hear from the national guys that Wesley is better than the score indicates?  How about anyone else?  I'm not sure of that statement.

Didn't Wesley beat Mary Hardin-Baylor by a lot more than UW-Whitewater did? I think that's a valid indication that Wesley is better than the score today showed.

Obviously this team simply doesn't match up well with Whitewater. Or can't play on grass, which would be a problem.
