Love the sig, Breeze!!!

I'm looking forward to meeting all the "Stone Station" people on saturday.  Not to mention how excited I am for the game.

Maybe if his hand wasn't broken he could have dove...

Yep, that's what I was thinking. He could have caught it with full effort but not if he wasn't willing/able to lay out.

I believe it was closer on the replays than you make it sound.

I was watching the first quarter on the internet feed and I thought that he probably could have gotten to that ball.  The play just looked odd, he would have had to dive for it, but i think if he lays out he gets his hands on it.

The other "drop" he got hit pretty quickly after the ball got there, so that might have caused it, but that was catchable too.

We clearly saw on the replay the second one that the ball was loose before he was hit. The hit may have knocked the ball loose from a healthy Garcon as well, but we'll never know.

The AFCA All-American's are out.  Makes me kind of scratch my head looking at the list.  Says it was selected by those who know the players the best -- coaches, but I wonder.  ???  See for yourself:

I had a theory about Beaver's absence -- he only played six regular season games. That may not have been enough to qualify for their team.

I know the 6 regular season games hurt Beaver, but what about Kmic, Kleppe, etc.? These guys have not just come on the scene during play-off time.  How can anybody leave those two off any all-american list?

No Derek Stanley or Ryan Kleppe on the AFCA All-American Team ???.....one of these guys is going to be playing on Sundays next year and the other one could be if he was 3 or 4 inches taller..........completely floored by AFCA and how they came to their conclusion.......the numbers, production, and team success is there and I would take any one them over any of the guys on that list aside from possibly the wideout Pierre Garcon of Mount Union which would be a coin flip between him and Stanley........I am befuddled, confused, bewildered........... ???

The injury may explain Beaver, but NOT ONE Whitewater player?   ??? ???

Olinemom,

Getting ready to head out to Salem on Wednesday, and found this photo from last year.  Could this be you???

Yes that is me, talking with the Coach of the Year!!  :o :o :o   I had no idea that there was a picture of me floating around with Coach Brez.  Thanks.  I will save it to my WW football folder and hope that I can get some more photos this weekend.  I'll be making the boys brownies and cheering for them.  Llama says our tickets are right in the middle of WW fans.  I'm excited!!  Maybe I should wear my purple and black and my WW hoodie that Coach got me last year?  It wouldn't be as neutral as I should look at Stone Station, but I would still need to wear my BC beanie because it'll get cold late!!  Thanks for the picture. :) ;) :D ;D  Will you be down in time to come to the Corned Beef and Co on Friday evening.  I think we are going to gather there 7:00 ish.  I don't have the directions, but I'm sure the hotel can give directions.  I have been invited to the Marriott and I AM COMING OVER!!!!!  Can't wait.

You'd think from looking at that list that the AFCA was under the influence of some mind altering substances.  Or is it dominated by coaches bent on rewarding good players from less than stellar teams?  Either way, no way can it be representative of the great players in D3.

Pat, when will the important all-american lists, like D3football.com, be released? I'm sure that list will recognize the best of the best, in an unbiased way.

Is Justin Beaver fully recovered from his injury earlier in the season?  He sure played a great game against us (Linfield) last year.  The guy is incredible.
