Hey, Duff,  are you going to be wearing your purple hat on Saturday?   ;)

I'll have a purple hat on and it will be from one of the teams in the Stagg ;).

I think what it comes down to is that the team who scores more points is going to win on Saturday.

Captain,
I think you're on to something.  This make sense even to this Mount Union graduate!  ;D

Yeah, I tried that pick in the pickems, but they made me name a team! ;)

I thought "whoever scores more points" was a perfectly reasonable pick! ;D

BTW, I'm still undecided, but leaning towards UWW.  Last year they had NO experience in the Stagg, this year they have last year.  SJF played MUC dead-even for three quarters until their defense was completely worn down by the O-line and Kmic, after which Kmic was unstoppable.  I SUSPECT that UWW's defense will not wear down in similar fashion.

All Current WW Players!!!!

Free DRINKS all night at Corned Beef & Co!  Come show us how the men of Wisconsin can pound them down!   ;D
Now Skunk, only if the MUC fellas get equal treatment at Corned Beef & Co.  No favoritism.  Besides if they get all the hoochie-pop, we are going to be left high and dry!!! ;D ;D ;D  You going to the luncheon on Friday?  I decided the other day to go on down early Friday and attend the luncheon and get started a bit early.
Breeze (at luncheon I'll be the one wearing the Bridgewater Oline Mom pin ;)),  Hope WW got there in good time this evening.  But Tanglewood is IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!!!   You might as well be staying in Franklin.  On second thought, there is way too much white lightning there for it be a good place for young easily influenced young men.  The mall isn't even very good out there any more.  But I imagine it's a couple steps up from the Quality Inn in Salem where we are all staying.  Hey, MUC guy in wrong hotel.  Quality inn is about 5 min. from Salem field and it's easy to get to the team hotel from there on the interstate or by the backroads.  Just in case you haven't had any luck yet.  My 2 brownies worth.    See everybody Friday and Saturday!!!  Can't wait.  I'm hoping for a great game wih NOBODY HURT!!!!!

Last post until after the game.....still believe like I have all year if we play well and get a few breaks like Duffman said we can beat anyone in D3. Don't agree with him that the Purple Raiders also have to play bad for us to win......we are good enough to beat them even if they play well but that is why they play the game. Warhawks have settled into their hotel in Roanoke and the Goo Crew is off early tomorrow. Time to pack all our Purple.....GO WARHAWKS!!!!!POUND THE ROCK!!!!!!...... See you at the bar at the Marriott  Courtyard......

Looking forward to it!!

I think you are on to something, Mr. Ypsi.  I found your assessment very reassuring.  And with MUC being the opponent, reassurance is hard to come by. They are the gold standard and I have the upmost respect for their coach, players and program. The Hawks will not be WIDE-EYED this year and that will serve them well. That and the fact that they still feel the sting of coming up short last year.  But I do believe they must play their best game to come away with a W.  I think this game will be won or lost in the trenches.  Go Hawks O-line and the D front 7.  Safe travels to all!  Time for the chant one last time this year:

GO WARHAWKS............GO WARHAWKS................GO WARHAWKS
                      BRING HOME A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!

I'm thinking this one comes down to the QB's..like the point guards in the NCAA BB tournament.  MU has given up and average of 1 rushing yd per attempt..WW 1.9 all season.  Don't think either team is going to do much on the ground.  The team that has the best passing day will win.  LX and SJU stayed with WW throwing the ball.  If Garcon's hand is hurting..advantage WW big time.  The weather looks great for the passing game.

DuffMan

I think MUC's going to be able to run on UWW's defense.  SJU (who hasn't had much of a running game since 1999) showed some spurts of being able to run the ball against UWW.  Granted, it wasn't consistent and they didn't stick with it, much to my disappointment.

Whitewater 31 - Mount Union 23

Call it in baby!!!!

thanks for the article link Bobo, I had no idea that Schmitt ran a 4.68, I'm planning on watching the 2nd day of the draft, just to see if any D-III players get in

Are any of you Whitewater fans going to wear Cheeseheads to the game?  I am Bridgewater alum and diehard Packer fan who will be at the game.  Since I have no loyalty toward either purple team, I have decided to root for WW since most of you are probably Packers fans, too.

Just wondering if I will see lotsa Cheeseheads at the game.  I also have a Brat Hat I will bring, but not sure which headgear I will wear.

Sorry Virginia can't provide any snow for ya.

Good luck and safe travels.  Come visit us at Stone Station.  You will know where and what it is when you see us in the parking lot.  All are welcome.

GO BC!

ahem. Sorry to interrupt this Whitewater pre-game celebration but has anyone on here heard that Menomonie head football coach Joe LaBuda will be the next football coach at UW-River Falls?  Somebody on the wisfootball site mentioned that today but so far I haven't been able to confirm it. Thank you for reading and Go Warhawks!!
